Scheduled my seat build for the Versys 1000LT, several months ago. Terry sent me an email Tuesday, saying that he was ready for it, so I drove it over on Wednesday (75 miles), and dropped it off around 11:00 AM. Received another email late the next day, saying that it was ready. Picked it up Friday, and it looks great. The build is a ‘single bucket’, with the entire seat recovered. For $275, and dodging the shipping costs, I couldn’t be happier.

FYI He’s booked through March 2021, but a deposit will get you on his schedule. He’ll notify you when it’s time to send in your seat.

Ride Safe

Terry did a seat for me also. Mine looks good too.. My longest ride on the seat was about 200 miles.

Looks nice. Congrats.

So you made this post with a nice pic then said we can't do the same till March '21. Hmm. Seems like you're just rubbing it in. lol

I got mine done from him this year for my ST1300. Great seat, great price ($290 including shipping and great service). I do feel a little discomfort in the globes, maybe I need to adjust before I sit. Forward slide gone forever PTL. Will be going on a longer ride tomorrow to Mt. Horeb WI. Should be another test.

Nice looking seat! The "bucket" looks to be a bit trimmer than the typical RDL. I like it.

My Wing seat is scheduled for November! Visited his shop back in June with John; he took pictures with me sitting on the bike, pd. my deposit, and chatted motorcycles for 45 min.
Nice guy!

Good looking seat. May need to put a deposit down and get one myself. Take care John and hope you enjoy!

I had a deposit set for july but with with my recent cancer were holding off

I had my stock seat Spencerised in early 2019, it was better but not great. So I bought a Sargent seat used for a good price from a member, it is a little better, but still, after 200+ miles I start to feel the PIA, does anyone have a website or contact info for this guy? I like the look of the bucket on the Kawa. a pic of one of his seats on an ST1300 would be nice.

"I wonder if it has the support spring like the Russell."

I was told no.

"Almost an exact copy of the Russell seat. Lot cheaper tho."

My 2 old 1100 Russell's ('02 & '12) were truly Day Long saddles. As long as you wanted to make day. They had the tractor seat look (deeper dish). Also the heavy duty support spring.

My Valkyrie Russell ('18), not so much, about 350-400 miles. It is suppose to have the support spring. It does indeed look like Terry's seat. Being a solo seat, it was not much more than the full 1100 Terry's seat, but a lot cheaper than a full Russell..

Had him do my ST1300

Have an FJR friend who was heavier, got the spring in his Russell. Now doesn't like it, the spring is a slightly curved flat bar across the seat and I gather they didn;'t bury it deep enough into the foam, so he feels that every time he sits on it. Not awful, just a niggling.

Not really that long form now. I'll have to put my name down now. I can wait. Sounds like it's worth it.

The key is to be close to your builder....as you were! Seat looks good.....Enjoy!
