My vascular surgeon had prescribed CHILOSTOZAL to alleviate similar problems in my leg arteries. Having similar blockages, but more of them has allowed me to avoid the surgery for several years. I called it a combination of WD 40 and Draino and has similar warnings. Wishing you the best for a speedy and complete recovery.

This appears to be from my surgery back in September, so hopefully there won't be a 'repeat'! :D But I will keep that in mind for the future.

Uncle Phil,
Have you tried a small glass of Seafoam at bedtime? I've heard that it will clean out all sorts of crud. Wishing you the best with your surgery.

Good luck, and leave the nurses alone......although sponge baths aren't that bad.....

You'll be fine I bet Phil. Very common for us old guys. I was just visiting with a fellow on my walk yesterday as he was out walking his dog. He had the exact same thing happen. Two years ago. His leg swelled up behind clot and hurt like hell, all red too. They fixed him up. Just follow Docs directions. And don't overdo it after surgery and try to do things to soon.

Best wishes for a smooth procedure UP. Good luck!
