Jackets Any regrets about hi-viz yellow jackets?

I've had my Hi-Viz Yellow Olympia for 3 years now. I get lots of comments going shoping with this jacket. Clerks often comment about how bright it is. This is a good thing if you're riding a motorcycle. It also is great for summer riding as the air flow is exceptional.
 
I joined the ranks of the hi-viz jacket owners recently.
Picked up a First Gear Kilimanjaro in the hi-viz color, size XL-Tall.
FG is one of the few that offer the hi-viz in the tall sizes and I need that extra sleeve length. I already own a FG Kilimanjaro “air” (mesh) jacket in black and yellow, XLT, and it has proven warm and wind-proof with the liner in it. My new jacket fits better and is not as loose in the torso and arms as the AIR. Nevertheless, I love the added visibility it offers along with my white helmet (the ST11 is RED too). I’ve already had to tell one person that the color is NOT for fashion…. LOL!

A little problem found with the HI Vis... My Zumo is about chest high on a dash shelf. In Bright sun the jacket reflects off the screen so much so that it's hard to see!! I can actually see my jacket in the GPS screen... I have since put a visor on the gps and a non glare screen saver over the gps screen. Seems to help some..

This thread makes me wanna put led's on my non hi vis gear and flashing yellow lights on the back of the Blue Beast.
 
I had a hi-vis jacket and a Whelen TIR3 and still got rear ended at a stop light.

Unfortunately, sometimes everything you do to try and be seen doesn't work if the people aren't looking.

With that said, I'll never ride w/o my hi-vis jacket.
 
Same here! I got hit in my neighborhood back on the 4th of July while wearing a First Gear hi-vis jacket. A car was parked along the curb and suddenly pulled straight across the street to turn around in a drive way on the left. She didn't even look!

This is what I wear..Sometimes. I like the fit of leather over textile (even living in Florida) and like the fact that I can use it with any/every jacket I own.

Those of you with Tourmaster Transistion 2 Jackets:

How is it in the rain? I wonder whether the waterproof intermediate layer will be irritating as it allows the outer layer to get waterlogged, (including exterior pockets?)

And it looks like it might vent well enough to work in the heat in a pinch, allowing me to leave the mesh gear at home on a trip. True?

I understand from reviews that the Tourmaster Epic is warmer, but doesn't vent as well. I figure the Transistion is more practical for Southern California. But the goal is to get down to one jacket/pants combo for LD touring, and ditching the separate rainsuit and mesh gear.
