Anyone hear with an modern triumph experience?

Howdy all. I have been looking to move on from my 1993 ST1100. Love the bike too death, but looking for more. Rode two bikes yesterday. A friend loanded me his FJR 1300. First bike I have ever riden that after 5 mins I wanted off. Did not like that bike one bit except for the transmission. The other was a 2011 Triumph GT. Since there are many ST riders acroos the pond figured a few of people here had to have some Triumph experiece since we are a varied group. Really liked the bike, smooth power, much lighter and sportier than my ST, shocking comfortable riding position overall a good contender. My one concern was that the gearbox hated to go into nuetral and was hard shifting. Been digging online. Triumph have clunk transmission, but are reliable, that i know, I suspect teh clutch cable is teh issue. It grabs maybe a mm out from teh bar and is full engaed being teh issue. Thoughts? Yeah I know thi sis an ST fourn but there are many older rideers here that have a life time of riding, an dteh triumph forms I do find seem to have very little help. Thanks anyways.

I have a 2022 Triumph Bonneville T120. The transmission shifts more cleanly than my ST1300 (I haven't missed a shift yet) and neutral is much easier to find. There's a good chance that they made changes since 2011 even if the GT doesn't use the same transmission as the Bonneville. Maybe test ride a newer one.

Compared to my Honda, the clutch has a shorter engagement range so requires a slightly more finesse, but it's easy once you get used to it. It also has a much easier pull thanks to a slipper clutch. I can really appreciate that.

My Bonneville is not at all what I would consider sporty, but it's exactly what I wanted. Ridden by a more skilled rider than me, it can hold its own.
