I have 2 jr jackets one for colder days and a mesh. I have been looking for something to secure the back when just wearing jeans so it dosen't slide up in on an unexpected get off.The overpants have a zipper that attaches to the jacket but when it gets really hot i dont wear those.

My jacket came with the "other half" of the zipper that you can attach to jeans.

I have two joe rockets and neither of them came with anything extra like that. What brand is your's and how does it attach to the jeans?

Every jacket I've had came with the "other half" of the zipper to attach to something. I'm sure someone has the "other half" lying around that they don't have use for...

My Olympia jacket actually has a really cool loop and snap on either side of the zipper so you can wrap it around a belt or something and snap it down secure. I use it through the waist strap of my riding pants since I don't feel like sewing the "other half" on.

That is strange. My Joe Rocket came with the other half of the zipper also. I bought it about 4 years ago and went through a move since then so don't even ask if I still have it around. I tend to be a pack rat but I would have no clue where to start looking.

My Joe Rocket came with the zipper ( about 10" ) I've never taken it off...still zipped on after 4 years... My old roomate sewed the free half to a tube of fabric that he could run a belt through to keep the jacket from riding up... Never had a problem myself so I never did anything with it

could be that mine is zipped to the other half still in the jacket, i will take a look when i get back home. If it isn't i should be able to order one, thanks for your replies i had no idea they were suppose to come with one.

might hafta rick. Should throw off some neat sparks if i had a fast slide down the highway lol

If you find the the zip is still there, try having snaps installed on a belt. Then the other half of snaps installed on the zip piece. Then you can fasten down your jacket to any pants you wear.:D:03biker:

my first gear mesh has the zipper, and so do my riding pants, as well as my leather cortex and decker pants

but when I wear jeans, it never seems a problem.........

oh and when it gets hot, my first gear over pants, I don't wear over anything and they feel really nice you know as the breeze goes right through them......

we need gear with coolant......

maybe tubes through the jacket and pants that circulate ice chilled water , put a small ice chest in your bags or trunk, a small pump ( a small boat bilge pump would do ) rigged up to the battery on a switch, when you get hot turn on the pump and ice chilled water would flow and cool you down????

is that practical and functional?????? HEY I claim the patent!!!!!!

i had planned to do something very simular to that, im scared of road rash if the jacket rides up in a feet first slide. I have had a taste of the rash before and dont care for it at all,and i dont heal as quickly as i used too lol

Hey I have a few of the "other half" of the joe rocket zippers.

If you want one pm me and I will put it in the mail to you.

We ALWAYS zip it up. I do not want my jacket riding up exposing my back in a crash.
