ATV Snowplow

Had my plowing all sorted by buying a local landscaper a V plow… he is flaking out and my plowing is not getting done.

Does anyone have any experience with using ATV or S/S with a plow?
It’s just a “normal” residential driveway 1,000 sq’ with side walk and a 10,000 sq ‘ parking lot with side walk.

I have been using a Honda 420 Rancher quad with snow blade for 10 years now. Does a good job as long as the snow isnt too deep. Used it 4 times this month already. Drive is about 200' long curving on a hill. Parking area will fit maybe 8 cars comfortably so not quite as much as you have.

In my experience it depends on how much snow you normally get during each storm and how much you get through the whole winter. If you get a lot of snow at once it has a hard time pushing big loads. With large individual snow falls you run out of places to put it as it can not push large mounds of snow far enough out of the way. If you get a lot of snow cumatively but not neccessarily during individual storms you still might need to plan ahead by making sure that after each snow fall you push the snow far enough out of the way to make room for the snow falls that will follow or you might not be able to later on and the usable space on your driveway will shrink. If you aren't in an area that gets large amounts of snow none of the above applies.

In a high snow fall area I would prefer a large snow-blower that can move the snow far out of the way. You can also get snow-blowers that mount on the front of an ATV.
