Thought I would share a few highlights from our road trip with bikes in tow.

First day was about 575 miles from Seven Bays to just short of Twin Falls ID. A quick over night in an uncrowded RV park. Had a fantastic meal at a local Mexican restaurant. Up with the sun and hope to make another 500 mile day. Got to the RV park I had researced and called, only to find out they were much busier than planned.....sold out. No room at the Inn. Great! Maps shows no more spots till Las Vegas......and not real excited about another two hours drive and arrive after dark. Oh well, let's go.
Only about two miles down the road we can across a game preserve with lakeside camp sites. And a great site was just sitting there...waiting for us. Yahoo!!!!!

So when arriving we noticed the registration station by the gate back a half mile, so out comes the little bike and a quick ride back past the volunteer ranger to the registration station revealed....the camp is free.....!!!!! Another score. But the fun doesn't stop.
I had passed the ranger when going to the registration spot, he had stopped at our camp and was talking to Kari. Well, guess what.....
he had owned a 2006 ST1300 since new and had just sold it a couple years ago. And he is a forum member here...!!! Meet Rick...

Yes...Ranger Rick. If you see this Rick, thanks for volunteering and having such a great spot.
Day three was a drive to Cave Creek and setting up in our Hosts driveway for the next few days and visit friends in the Phoenix area. Will post more later.

Looking like a good trip! Welcome to the warmth!

You should be seeing some rain tomorrow, late. Enjoy a gift from SoCal! :rofl1:

Well the time has come to pack up and head out for the next adventure. We just barely fit in this driveway.

Now we are in the Saguaro Nation Park...or real close to it. And the bike was officially taken hostage by Igofar. And of course he has found things that I never knew about. He is ....... DaMan..!!!

Woke up to a message from Larry this morning.....worked on the bike till 11pm last night...said there was more to be done.
Bad thing is.....after returning to camp with my wife and daughters family, another story, I succumbed to a flu bug that started a couple days ago. It was 80 degrees in the motorhome and I had the chills and shakes. I HATE BEING SICK ON VACATION..!!!! So, working on healing this morning with hopes of feeling good enough to ride the crf250 the 50 miles one way to help Larry with the bike.
Now, the other story. My daughter, husband and three young children took off last August on a round the USA trip in a truck and travel trailer. Been across the northern states last fall, winter in the warm SE. And the timing was such we were able to join them for a day a half here in Tucson. Son in law quit his 6 figure job as a subcontractor to Microsoft to take this trip. Oh by the way...kids are 7, 5 and 2. In a travel trailer for a year. Better man than me....
Next post should be better...more pics...less whining.

Get well soon amigo. Looking forward to you sharing your travels at NEWSTOC.
Thanks Barry....hope this goes away soon. And at NEWSTOC I should have the fastest bike....after Igofar is done with it. He has found so much stuff wrong it is silly. But now, he says that in first or second gear I can lift the wheel with throttle only....:bk11:. Can't wait to see....

Get well and regain your strength this morning, you'll need it for all the head slaps your gonna get :rofl1:
I have to run into town and pick up some more Dot 4, then I'll be tearing both wheels apart, inspecting EVERYTHING, and replacing all your brake pads, and flushing out the half inch of MUD resting in the bottom of your master cylinder :well1:
You just hang with the family and take care of yourself, and keep your pooping problems away from my garage.
I'm pretty sure I'll be able to finish this job late tonight or early tomorrow morning after a couple 16 hour days working on it, but hey, after all, that's what I do :shrug2::scared2:

Get better amigo, and try and enjoy your vacation, your wife, family, and dog need you....I got this :box1:

What can I say.......Larry........you da MAN! :headbang::yr1::woohoo::woohoo:

But earlier today you said there was only a quarter inch of mud in there..... I gotta get you some more accurate measuring tools.
I am so looking forward to checking it out. Wish I wasn't playing King.
As I sit here on my throne.......:sick1::tp1:
