Thought I would share a few highlights from our road trip with bikes in tow.
First day was about 575 miles from Seven Bays to just short of Twin Falls ID. A quick over night in an uncrowded RV park. Had a fantastic meal at a local Mexican restaurant. Up with the sun and hope to make another 500 mile day. Got to the RV park I had researced and called, only to find out they were much busier than planned.....sold out. No room at the Inn. Great! Maps shows no more spots till Las Vegas......and not real excited about another two hours drive and arrive after dark. Oh well, let's go.
Only about two miles down the road we can across a game preserve with lakeside camp sites. And a great site was just sitting there...waiting for us. Yahoo!!!!!

So when arriving we noticed the registration station by the gate back a half mile, so out comes the little bike and a quick ride back past the volunteer ranger to the registration station revealed....the camp is free.....!!!!! Another score. But the fun doesn't stop.
I had passed the ranger when going to the registration spot, he had stopped at our camp and was talking to Kari. Well, guess what.....
he had owned a 2006 ST1300 since new and had just sold it a couple years ago. And he is a forum member here...!!! Meet Rick...

Yes...Ranger Rick. If you see this Rick, thanks for volunteering and having such a great spot.
Day three was a drive to Cave Creek and setting up in our Hosts driveway for the next few days and visit friends in the Phoenix area. Will post more later.
