Hi fellow owners, new to the forum and the ST.
Bought a 2007 with 48 k on the clock, purchased to do the NC 500 in Scotland to kick off a few planned trips.
Ive just discovered the spliced flanges on the pipes where they meet the silencers are rotten both sides.
Im going to replace the pipes and retain the OEM silencers.
Delkevic and Black widow both make the pipes, and im leaning towards Delkevic, as Black widow dont have a good rep for their VFR pipes.
What is the go to replacement? Any advice greatfully recieved.

FWIW, I have Delkevic pipes on all of my ST1100s.
They are a perfect fit require no modifications to install and I used the ST1100 stock silencers.
And everything down to the clamps is stainless steel which is a big improvement over the stocker stuff to me.

I'll second that. I installed a set, with the long mufflers, six years ago. The stock system on my 1991 crumbled up where the mufflers attached. The mufflers were still near new looking. Found a local rider who wanted them.
Six years now and the whole system still looks new.

Yeah, thats where mine have rotted, here in the uk they smother everything in corrosive road salt in the winter which doesnt help!

That is an option, but new delkevic stainless pipes are only £250 all in if you retain the OEM mufflers...which i presume is possible?
It was for my ST1100s so I would assume it to be the same for the ST1300.

I have Delkevic installed after 5 years of owing the bike and I regret that I didn't do it on day one when bought the bike.

I'm fortunately the owner of two ST's...the 1991 and a 2006 1300. Both bikes were quiet, a bit too quiet. The Delkevic system gave the 1991 a bit louder exhaust tone that I like...makes us more noticeable but is not offensive. I do like the little jump I get from inattentive dipsticks when I whizz past on the quiet 1300.
