Best ST1300 Tank Bag

I'm on several years of the Cortech Super 2.0 8-liter bag. I use it back to front and it seems to work better that way. It doesn't contact the bars and I actually like having the lid open toward me. Using it this direction makes it easier to see what I'm looking for. One complaint I have is the zipper has started to wear out and will split once in a while. I tightened the zip part and it works again, but I may have tightened it a little too much and the zip is harder to run it's full length. Other than that it's all worked great. http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/cortech-super-20-8-liter-magnetic-tank-bag

Ive been using the Honda accessory tankbag however i have modified it with magnets i used from an old oxford one i had in my garage with a torn map pocket. This does away with the need to use the straps around the headstock.

I too had a problem at full left lock with the horn hitting the bag but i added a guard under the cluster to stop the bag hitting the button and it works a treat.

Now THAT is a genuinely interesting and innovative solution! Very cool Brian. :bow1:

Does it ever impede you from getting to the horn? I'll bet the same thing could be done for the starter button.....

This is from a previous article on STO but I have changed it to suit my situation.

No it doesn't hinder the horn use at all, I have never had a problem of the starter side but now you have suggested it....... ;)

This is an old thread, and some of the products that users have recommenden do not exist anymore. I bought my ST1300 last year, and am looking for updates on tank bags, that don't hit the bars.

I use a tank bag mainly to hold a Camelbak bladder so I can hydrate while riding. I found that a Joe Rocket Manta tank bag fits a 2L bladder perfectly and is narrow enough that it doesn't interfere with the controls. Downside is that it won't hold much more than the bladder but it suits my needs perfectly. :)

+1 on the Joe Rocket Manta tank bag. I have a black one that I no longer use that is available.
