Dear all!

After some smaller rides with my "brand new" 1997 ST1100A I tried to pivot both the break and the clutch lever a bit more downwards. Would be more comfortable for my hands.

But there was no leeway left.

Is there any way to get them further down?

Save rides!

Am I right in thinking that there is a dimple in the bars and a corresponding ‘spike’ in the lever clamp that fixes the position ?

Nah, there punchmarks on the handlebar indicating the default position of brake and clutch MC armature...
The switch-pods are fixed with a pin sitting in a bore on the underside of the bar...

There is the hole/pin thing for the control pods. I've always been able to move the brake and clutch levers a bit to keep my arms wrists and hands in a straight line for me riding posture.
