Those hot Texas roads must suck the life out of tires. I got 10k on Conti road attack 3 that came with the bike when I got it. Their due soon.

I typically get 8k out of tires so not sure what changed. I've never run T32s before. I'll be curious to see if the 2nd set of RS IIIs wear similar to the first set.

I got about 6K out of my T32s. Then I put on RS III and got about 11K out of them. Running RS IV now so we'll see if they hold up as well.
No more BS T32s for me.
Here's the rear at 4500 miles, may go another 500 miles but I'll probably change out soon:
The front look better but not as good as it should be:
I have a set of RS 3s I took off to put these on w/5,500 miles and they look a lot better. You can get RS 3s for up to 200 less than RS 4s or some of the other brands. The RS 3 front does have more cupping than the BS.

And what's with the Shinko "blue" and the Shinko "red"... is that the color of the smoke it puts out? (Seen on the link by @Al st1100)
Inquiring minds want to know, but this inquiring mind isn't interested in laying down smoke anywhere. Just quiet, twisty miles for me, if you please.

In the 12 years I've had my ST1300, I've (only) used T30, T31 and now T32's. All GT's.
I've been so thoroughly happy with them, I've never felt the need to try anything else.
They inspire confidence, wet or dry, and wear reasonably well - considering the weight of the ST - and the way I ride
.I always say "they hug the road like a magnet"...
I have never seen any cupping, or uneven wear on any of them.
I just replaced my T32 rear at just over 11,000 miles, prior to a trip. They were not totally shot, but I didn't feel confident that they would last for a 1,000+ mile trip.
Previous rears, replaced before earlier trips, were changed out around 7.5K - but again, they were not totally gone.
After the trip (1678 miles), I noticed that the front is getting close at about 11K, and will likely replace it next spring - with another T32 GT.

I might have made a mistake: My first moto tire purchase and I got the T32s front and rear. They seem like great tires, but I soon discovered there is a GT version for heavier bikes. I went to the website and Bridgestone made it sound like personal choice for something like an ST, so they were not crystal clear on their recommendations. The new T32 GT is supposed to be suitable for bikes as light as 250kg. That's pretty light!
I'm starting to ride more often (got my license in February), but I still think I'll get at least a year out of the tires. I dunno.

If your happy with that ok but I got 17500 KM out of Continental Road Attack 3 and could of gotten more, near wear bars.

I almost feel bad getting 15,000 miles out of Road 6s on my RT. Three sets to approach 50,000 miles. My buddy with a wet head cannot get more than 7000 miles out of Road 6 GTs. He’s trying current Road Smarts in search of more than 7000 miles.
When I was running T30s, 30 Evos, and then 31s I was quite happy with them and the 7 or 8,000 miles they gave me on the ST1300.

Interesting, GF's NT700VA (lighter and less power) munched the T30 Evo rather quick, T31 and now T32 again held up very well...

The GT spec has an extra belt in the construction that helps deal with the weight of those bikes and also helps slow down tire wear.

Riding style and conditions makes a massive difference to tyre life I believe. I start accelerating early in bends, keep braking while leaning into bends and avoid straight roads like the plague, so I don't do terribly well for mileage on any tyre! I was unable to get a GT spec front Road 6 for the ST1300 but its actually doing much better than the Road 5 GT it replaced, which only ran for 7000km IIRC. I'm also running higher pressures to minimise the temperature rise (45 psi at both ends) which may be helping.
Would you mind sharing the contact info? I'd like to ask what size GT tires they recommend for 1100s.
