Weird question, but over here I grow the impression that tire companies are now forcing people to products that will not last longer then 6500km/4000miles...
Neither Bridgestone Germany nor Austria does list any tires other then T31, T30 EVO or BT-23 (not even BT45 or it's successor BT46) for the standard/non-ABS ST...
When Inquiried the official statement is "...production of Exedra G547/548 discontinued..." huh?!
If you dig further, like Bridgestone Asia, you'll find that the Exedra is still actively offered, hence obviously still getting produced...
A number of independend local online deales also still have them in their listings (just placed an order to restock my shed)...
Just like with starter batteries (that suddenly won't last longer then 2 years), or printers that "die" once the ink or toner catridges are exhausted, "obsolescence" seems to be the new methode to increase financial turnover...
