I woke up, got out of bed, and had coffee...
I think that's enough for one day... :coffee:

G'Day...

6°/17°C, actually not bright at all due a thick, gray overcast, and quite windy...
yesterdays overly warm daytime temperatures lead to a brief but hefty thunderstorm in the night... ⛈️

Nespresso maker active... methinks I'll get another mug... :coffee:

So, at what age does it start to make sense hiding your own Easter-eggs? 🤔;)

the family gathering was the usual SOP:
folks I hardly know arguing loudly about folks I don't know at all...

It peaked in the grand-kid, unmastered since birth, always hyped up and a sugar-rush added, running head on into a column of the terrace roof...
Barely a 1/3" cut, tree drops of blood, my generation would have first received an ear full for not paying attention, a band-air slapped on, and send back outside...
Nah...
These days such qualifies for a trip to the ER... where they, you might have guessed it, slapped a band-aid on it...

However, food was plentiful, we have leftovers, and I'm still quite stuffed... 😋

Alright, this is a bank-holiday, so no work today... 😎

Good morning and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

It's sunny and 36, rising to 47 with more sun.

Yesterday's visit from our son, D-I-L and grands went well. The grandkids are growing nicely, and the youngest took advantage of the house with more room to run and walk hither and yon. Both are happy, healthy kids.
The cats avoided them, of course.

Today, I'll have a pre-surgery phone visit with the anesthesiologist, and maybe try for a gym visit.

Have a great day,
Steve

Thx Martin!

Yesterdays red alert turned into just another regular storm.
Hit land 40 miles further south.
One sailor on a tanker was washed over board, and never found…

8˚c/46f, sunny, a breeze from north.

Son and gf just left, house feels empty…

Have a good one!
Stu

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Martin.

Ahhh how pleasant it is to be able to resume the daily coffee club ritual.

It's 39°F and brightly sunny in Lansdale this morning. By the late afternoon it'll be about 55, and still sunny.

The reinforcements (the two SILs who stayed at the House of Fun yesterday) are due to arrive today, probably mid-afternoon. Between the five of us I'm hoping to have the remaining junk items in the aunt's garage sorted through and either disposed of or loaded for transport no later than Wednesday, so that Mrs. Fun and I can return home Thursday. That's quite possibly a fool's hope but a man can dream, can't he?

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Post a brief opener, save it...
Intent of preventing the double and triple "openers" we had in the past, requiring an IT Gremlin to stitch them into one thread...

But as it seems: nothing is worse than well-intentioned... again... you can't please everyone... just can't... can't do it... :shrug2:

Good morning, everyone. Thanks, Martin.

Still cool at 42, but should reach a sunny 67.

I was going to take 15 minutes to do my taxes last evening, but my Windows desktop computer keeps rebooting after everything loads. Now, I’m faced with troubleshooting the computer, or firing up an old laptop. It’s a simple tax return with only 2 forms, so no panic….yet.

My first thought was “This is my new computer!”. Then I realized that it’s 10 years old.

I have some contacts I use for site supp........ ah... never mind...

Morning Martin & All from cloudy, with some Sun poking through in Southern Utah!

Currently it is pretty much Spring Time again! Temp @ 61F, up from 35F and heading for 71F. A slight breeze now, but later the winds will be out of the WSW @ 12 to 14mph.

Computers! Yeah, mine is almost five years old. But I have no plans to be replacing it anytime. I'm still running Win 10 on it and I have no desire to go to 11.

Well, we made it through the weekend, Chris is feeling better, but not up to sewing just yet. I'll take advantage of the warm weather and start working on the greenhouse again. See how far I can get it today, before the winds pick up!

Eggs, bacon, toast & OJ to start the morning. Pepsi(s) for later.

Anyone :bk13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

I’m gonna need something stronger than coffee, after dealing with these computers. I decided that I didn’t want to tear into the desktop this morning, so I decided to use one of the laptops. Fired up the 15 year old Toshiba, which has been bulletproof, but evidently someone found a better bullet, cause now the touchpad is acting wonky. No problem, just plug in a cordless mouse. Nope….I tried 3 of the rodents before finding one that would work. Hmmm…..that just might be the reason I had extras.

2 hours getting a working computer. 15 minutes to file online. Woo-Hoo….getting refund, but only because I’m old.

Shoulda stayed in bed. That’s what I get for filing taxes this early.

Cheers,
John
