BS 020 Rear tire sale-amazon

ORDERED! thank you! Replaced my front with a Battlax t32 (also radial) last year, and I know the rear will be needed soon. A few years old isn't a big deal to me either.

Update: received it 26-Feb. Like others it was bare, no box or wrap. I've gotten car tires the same way, ain't gonna cry about it. Date code is 1222, aged but not ancient. Can't say when I'll mount it as my current rear has some meat left on it. Hmm, should I wrap it in cellophane?

Also ordered. Through Chaparral. Didn't think I'd ever be ordering an old tire on purpose! or the wrong size for that matter. But this was tough to pass up. Replaced T32 front last year as well.

Amazon is selling the tire through Chaparral or visa-versa :eek-2x:

Got my 020 today. First time I've received a shipped tire with no wrapping of any kind. Looks ok though.
Interestingly, no visible wear bars! The little arrows on the sidewall are there but no wear bars to be seen!

I got 2 of them rears yesterday.I mounted 1 today on fresh repainted wheel. It sucked !!! was the hardest tire I ever mounted - Real stiff ,I use old coats manual machine @have done Many with it.Needs to be done on a machine with motors

Have you warmed it up for about 15-20 mins with a heat gun or a fen? Sometimes I use a fen even on the last part which is the hardest. Gets down much easier.

Are you sure you got the radial version or the bias version?
The bias version will wear you out trying to mount it. ;)

I mounted my newly purchased Amazon / Chaparral 170/60 ZR 17 BT 020 without ANY tools required.

Tire placed on my front patio Wednesday. Warmed in wonderful cloud free sunlight on a 70 degree day. Zip Ties used to bring beads close together....about 2 inches...yes side walls sturdy for sure..... With a few spritzes of Windex.....tire worked onto rim in less than a minute. My perfect wheel is still perfect. My soon - to - be - 78 year old hands easily up to the task.

No power tools or motors needed.

Received mine also, not in a box. Of course the BT020 has the stiffest carcass of any tire I've ever seen and couldn't be easily damaged during shipping. I plan to mount mine over the summer sometime when I can let it sit in the NC sun for an hour on each side. The tire had a slightly better date code than Chap Moto stated.

Got mine as well. Not worried about mounting it, never met a tire I couldn't mount with my No Mar machine, car, truck or bike, and have since moved to a fully pneumatic/electric tire mounting machine....I will say for manual mounters out there, other than learning the right technique and use of lube my next best friend was an old set of tire warmers, they would get the tires good and warm for mounting.

If anyone finds themselves in or around Orange County NY in need of a mount and balance feel free to reach out.

I also have a no mar tire changer and its great. I run double dark side on my wing, shops frown about mounting a car tire.
