Buying parts for ST1100 …

Here's another one for parts. I like the OEM 1100 fork springs on my bikes, I know lots of people on here upgrade but I, and my pillion, are quite happy with the way Honda made it :)

I have changed the springs about four times on the outfit as the Flexit puts more weight on the front (the opposite of a conventional sidecar outfit where you normally strengthen the rear suspension) and it now definitely feels that it is time again. Last change was 10 years and 26,000 miles ago, so lets get some new springs...... not a chance anywhere in Europe, didn't find anywhere in the USA or any other sites around the world until I came across this site.

It is not just ST1100 parts, I just copied across the page relevant to the ST1100. By all accounts it is run by Russians living in Japan  It is not the easiest of sites to navigate, but with a bit of playing around you can get to where you want!

Ordered the springs 21 May and received them 10 June.

Fork springs from IMPEX.jpg

IMPEX do have a different way of doing things. You order and pay, they then obviously go off to their suppliers, the item is received at their warehouse, then they ask you to choose a delivery option and pay for shipping! In my case there was also a request for a slight increase in the item cost after ordering. The overall amount I paid for two springs including Fedex delivery to the UK was £92.00. The UK Honda price would have been approx £135, had they been available.

Hope this helps.

On older Kawasaki I have an overview of access to parts and where to buy, working on the case for ST1100 where several options are being tested with smaller orders in several places. Surprisingly good service from Japanese Webike.no where slow website with problems during account registration (Chrome solved the issue) does not justify either products, prices or service from the company. Ordered parts there 6.6.2025 which arrived today, original parts from Honda at a nice price with the cheapest delivery (6 shipping options) where the Post Office charges VAT with the lowest fee. Thumbs up here and most likely not the last order :thumb:
