Shipping the mercury might be problematic.

Yea, I thought about that. I looked it up in the Federal Transportation regs and found that, since the Hg is an integral part of a manufactured product (manometer), and it's such a small amount, it's pretty much exempt from any regulations regarding ground transport within the U.S. The regulations that do apply are related to packaging to keep the Hg contained in it's container and the container in one piece. Putting the little sealed Hg bottle inside another sealed bottle, wrapping the entire boxed manometer in bubble-wrap and putting it all inside a mailing tube should do the trick.

I was about to say this too.

USPS prohibits shipping outright. UPS requires a Hazardous Materials Contract Service, which you may or may not be able to qualify for as a private citizen.

I think I'll take it, and I can pick it up.

mine got kicked over almost 20 years ago and some of the Hg spilled out so it will do 2 cylinders, maybe 3, but not 4. Been riding my ST1100 for that entire time without doing a carb synch, can't really tell any difference, but every time I look at the gauge I wish I had the Hg at the proper level.
