Good morning!
It’s time get up on the horse, well coffee first of coarse, there are eggs too, sunny side down and covered in melted Jarlsberg cheese.
Coffee brand is Kjeldsberg, it’s magic.

10˚c/50f, rain, calm.
Yes, it’s unusual mild.
Yes, my utility bill will be less heart stopping when it arrives.

Up early and drove Mrs Stu to work, as I need the car to pick up Peter.
First I’m getting my barnet done, I’m almost two months overdue, would probably not be granted access if I tried to enter any public transportation.

Have a good one, if you’re cold, wool is your friend!

Morning Stu, but for me it's almost bed time 22:18 pm . 7 C Partly Clear Sky to South, I can see Stars! Wind calming down finally 9 mph. Changed the Fork oil on Lady this afternoon, bit of a learning experience, no injuries to me or the bike. Next time will go a lot easier. See you All in my morning. G

I'm a cotton fella... but I also take warm showers, so... 😜

no breakfast on weekdays, just coffee for me... ☕
not enough time and at those ungodly hours my stomach is still too small for solid food...

-1°/+1°C today, so kinda undecided if it should freeze or not...

overcast, fog, only marginal drizzle... the windscreen gets quickly mucked up with road-spray,
but there just isn't enough water for the wipers to deal with it... and then those LED headlights... 😵‍💫
thankfully the trusty Toyota holds like 1.5 gal of washer fluid... a container actually deserving the term 'tank'... last like forever...
GF ain't so lucky, her Octavia holds only 0.3 gal... she's refilling every other week... using a lot of 'french expressions' while pouring...

Office, calm...
Nothing is more suspicious than when everything is "going fine"... something's up... the universe isn't that kind... 🤔

Morning all and thanks for the coffee Stu and as always a nice picture to accompany it.

I agree wool is the best, much better than the synthetic stuff. It's all I buy for the cold anymore. There is a saying I've heard, in real cold temps cotton kills. We have 2 digits in the morning temps I believe it is 16. Supposed to warm up this week. Very exciting because maybe the Doberman will go out and run off some of her boundless energy.

Boy they beat me up at PT yesterday. Seems every time the shoulder is feeling good they want to take it to the limit again. I'm sure there is a proven method to their madness but wow I was hurting last evening.

Wool would be good here this morning as it's -10/-17 and dark, headed to a sunny but cold -5/-10 by mid afternoon.

Today's a long day at work, with some OT pushing me out to a 14 hour day, which is about what Peppermint does without missing a beat!

Good morning and thanks for the coffee start, Stu.

It's 13f in MA this morning, rising to 32, later.
The clouds will lift, and it'll become mostly sunny.

Yesterday's gym visit went well, and we did some last minute shopping for gift cards for the kids.
Supper at a local pub-style restaurant in town.

Today, I'll try for another gym visit, and whatever comes next.
Maybe a little skiing?

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the magic coffee, Stu. Those eggs and cheese sound delicious, too.

It's 19°F, bright and sunny, and dead calm at this hour in Rockville. We'll warm to a toasty 38, which might feel like 50 or so. Acceptable for the time of year but don't try it again in the summer.

Mrs. Fun returned home on schedule yesterday afternoon, so the household is back to full strength. She and her lady friends had a good time in Williamsburg, as I'm sure this month's credit card statement will attest.

I've got two, TWO, doctor's appointments today: one with the sleep doctor (who is about to lose me as a patient though they don't know it yet) and another with my cardiologist. The sleep doctor appointment is very timely, as I had another lengthy sleepless interval last night: was awake from 2345 to a bit past 0400. Ugh. Not even a really tasty single malt (Dalwhinnie 15 year old, for those interested) could work its usual magic.

Yesterday I reglued the dining chair that had gotten very sketchy, and also visited the woodworking shop to look at materials for my bench project. I think I'll keep looking a while yet.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.
 
Thanks for the coffee Stu, you were on the cusp of the correct day, but as I didn't see it till this morning, I won't sweat the details.
This the seasons for shoulders, it would seem. I know of a handful of folks, including my CEO and our retired church pianist, among others.
This weekend past, David (or CEO) was carrying something from his truck to the house, and his 60lb pit bill puppy got the zoomies, leapt of the porch, and hit him in the knees, knocking him down.
He tried unsuccessfully to rotate while falling, to avoid landing on his recently-rebuilt shoulder... unsuccessfully. He landed on that left shoulder and his right wrist, hurting the shoulder and breaking a bone in his right wrist.
Fortunately he has an extraordinarily high pain tolerance.
In other good news (?) I missed a half day off work yesterday chasing a replacement battery for the GSA. Multimeter said 12.83 VDC no load, which does not mean a good battery, and it's the original in a 3yo bike, so...
Had it checked at two battery centers, both testers showed 100% good, in cranking amps, health, everything.
I put the disconnected AGM battery on the Battery Tender indoors last night, and it showed fully charged in less than a couple of hours.
Will know shortly when I put it back in, if it doesn't take too long. Nothing is as simple as it seems.
If not the battery, I have some serious sleuthing to do. Yesterday it didn't even spin the motor.
Meanwhile, as my week becomes more frustrating and dark, I hope the rest of yours is Merry and Bright!

Might be as simple as the start button, just like many here have had.... try wiggling it when press the button or shoot some contact cleaner in there. It was previously in a dusty CA area so might be that... or not.

Short britches and iced tea day. Today’s high is a sunny 51!

Today involves taking Teddy to Tractor Supply to replenish his pantry. One bag of kibble, 10 pounds of Milk Bone biscuits, and a couple of pig ears.
