Good morning everyone

The Cubano roast is ready for you, so come enjoy a cup or six.

It's 61°F and clear in Rockville. Mostly sunny with a high of 84 is on tap.

Yesterday's over, tomorrow hasn't happened yet. That leaves today. I think some ukulele time is in order, along with various household and yardwork tasks that I've been putting off. But first, coffee and breakfast.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.
 
Morning all, and thanks for the single pot, Keith.

No fear of two pots today, as I channelled my inner @Sadlsor and smashed the snooze button twice. Late for work by 20 minutes, but I'm sure I'll make that up today and then some.

Fog, a touch of rain and 16 for the ride into work. 29 and sun for the ride home.

I got Thing2's car serviced last night before she departs back to Uni-land today. While she's now officially done uni (unless she goes back to do her masters,) Thing2A won't be done until last year. She does have a job lined up, starting January 2027, so that's a good thing. Working in the hot garage last night though, wasn't a good thing. Even with 3 fans, it was uncomfortable. However, the parking brake was serviced, oil and filter changed, air filter inspected & cleaned, car cleaned, windshield washer fluid topped up, but not in record time. I picked up the oil, filter & drain plug at the dealer on my way home yesterday, forgetting the bike was still packed with rain gear from WoodSToc. It was a tight fit to get a filter & 6L or oil in the bike. It was easy to spend $160 for it though! :eek:

Yesterday was spent mostly recovering our sleep, after the trip back home.

Today, I'll try for a walk and/or gym visit.
We'll also do some shopping to restock after being away.

G'mornin' from the office! I learned my lesson from yesterday and made sure I had at least a sip or two of that blackened concoction we all rely on to keep us out of jail. Thanks, Keith! Made the ride in somewhat better I guess. 61F/15C at the house at departure.

Traffic was worse in some places but not others...kind of a flip-flop from yesterday. Left my tag in my bag again but did not fret as I had time...until a delivery truck tried to enter the wrong gate right in front of me. Fortunately, the po-po got him turned around and away and I got in with plenty to spare.

Today has nothing pertinent on the agenda, just the usual drudgery of electronic paper-pushing. Jazz practice at lunchtime. Home plans are to mow (err, harvest) the backyard before the next rains get here. I'm sure I'll forget something, and the wife will loudly remind me of it. Take care y'all!
 
Morning all! Sunny...kind of....blue sky...also kind of....however dark clouds threaten from the West. May not have been the best day to wear the mesh jacket:unsure:. 13C right now, 20C later for the ride home.

First time back in the pool this morning since mid June with predictable lack of fitness and much sucking of wind. However, no paramedics were required so I am counting that as a victory.

I was up early, as I had work to do before "work" started.
Got a lot done... because I skipped my first cup of coffee while posting routine, which actually saved a decent amount of time.
Don't think I want to routinely break that routine, though.
Procrastinating is more my style.
One of the remarks which was lost in yesterday's post was t regarding installing the new battery in my Honda motor-scooter -- I guess that was two nights ago now?
Last night I added air to the tires, not much, just enough to make it right again.
The ST is filthy, but rode it to work anyway.
It's a whole new bike, after cruising around on the big GSA since December.
It's really TINY! in comparison. And the handgrips are so much closer together. And I'm lower to the ground. And the sidestand tang is behind the footpeg, rather than in front of it as on the BMW.
But man, is it FUN!
They really both are, but I had become accustomed to everything on the other one, so it's like having a brand new bike.
Everything works flawlessly, no engine issues -- I guess the 1300 has forgiven me for neglecting it all these months.
It rides great, has lots of get-up-and-go in timely fashion.
Ah well, y'all already know all this.
I'm re-learning.
And I still like it.
No surprise there... and no funny quotes here today, as I don't wanna try to remember what I've written if I lose it.
And so... back to work.
Kaiser stayed home, as showers are predicted for this afternoon. I think same for tomorrow, but I did remember to take my raingear out of the panniers on my adventure-some panniers, and stow it on the Honda.
So whatever happens, y'all can deal with it.

Morning Keith & All from mostly sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 84F, heading for 91F. More thunderstorms rolled though, but left us nothing, not even a thunder boom! A slight breeze now, but later the winds will be out of the SW @ 10 to 13mph.

Yesterday was pretty busy, once I got started. I headed back over to the UHP to see if I could get one of their officers to our Monday night WeSTOC 30 dinner. Then it was a stop at the Iron Co. Tourist info center for a bag full of goodies for the Attendees! Than stopped at the bank, off to Home Depot, then WallyWorld where I stopped and had a couple of tacos, before doing some shopping for some poster boards. Once home, I mounted a couple of my posters, I plan to use for decorations at the WeSTOC 30 Map room.

And just took it easy for the rest of the day.

Today, I have lawns to mow, but since it's going to be a hot one, I might wait until later.

Eggs, bacon, toast & OJ with some Hot Honey/Lemon tea. Pepsi(s) for later.

Nor did I skip my second and third... what I skipped, was posting here before I rode to the office.
It sounds truly alarming, the way it was originally written.
Don't worry, I'm fine. 😄

We were worried we'd have to call a wellness check in on you. Hypocaffeination is a serious and dangerous affliction.
