I get about the same percentage of HD riders that will wave back at me as I do any other bikes, about 90/10%.

I get a kick out of sometimes when I wave at Harley riders; the guy won't wave back but his girlfriend/wife/whatever will wave as if to say, "save me from this overpriced, vibrating P.O.C."
Or that's what I tell myself.
On 6k miles done since May 15th I found the HD riders waved more than the sport bike riders...
I also noted that when the other rider wears a black jacket and black gloves you sometimes miss that he waved...
So... change your glove color and watch their hands inSTead of their bike or the road ahead of you... DOH!
Just came back from a 4200mi jaunt to Ontario, if you're in the middle of ND/MN/MI or northern Ontario the only guys you see are Harley guys and they wave! You roll into town and all bets are off. The guys riding the German bikes were a little more "reserved" about doing the wave. No matter, it's the chats in the little cafes and eateries that makes the ride special, in both countries!
