Reports here of people re-using them only to have them fracture later on (they're cheap pot metal).

And, after taking them off, the O-rings are usually a gooey mess that isn't worth cleaning out. The picture mello dude posted of his surprised me that they can even be pried out in a single piece. Just toss them and start over with new ones.

If all goes well, I'll eventually replace them with custom stainless ones, thicker walls and more resistant to corrosion. Orings I will replace!

A split unit under € 500,- from Amazon made it instantly bearable...

Dunno about the last part of this sentence... mixing aluminum and SS is rather critical... use of conductive lubricants like Anti-Seize advised to prevent galvanic contact corrosion... 🤔

Dunno about the last part of this sentence... mixing aluminum and SS is rather critical... use of conductive lubricants like Anti-Seize advised to prevent galvanic contact corrosion... 🤔

Sadly all my work is done out on the street, and while its possible to take a really big fan outside, I'd say its better to just wait for cooler days :roflmao:

Thats a really nice rad, if I do end up installing that one in the future, I'll post here about the fitment!

Good point, I've got some since assembly grease/anti-seize which would work fine here. Making the elbows out of thicker alu is also no issue btw!
