CTX miles

Bought the 2014 Honda CTX 1300 new in 2017.......finally turned over 50,000 miles today!! Hope the REAL riders won't laugh too much!! Russ.
Ay up Mr Neon.
Good on ya.
Just interested to know your inside leg measurement......... :rofl1:.
No I'll be serious.......for once. It doesn't come easy. As the Bishop said to the actress........
No, just wondering how you fit the CTX, how tall are you buddy, they look a little more cramped than an ST but I'm probably wrong, I normally am. I have considered changing to one at some time but there's so few about I've never sat on one. The problem in the UK at the moment is that owners think they have something special and rare and ask daft money and any new one's are still at around £14,000 OTR.
It'd be nice to know what you think about a tall lad riding one.

CTX is very comfortable from a seating and touring perspective. ST has better wind protection, quieter (due to full fairing) and longer range (300+ easy).

Interesting comparison. Other than seat height, if you put a bar riser and peg lowering kit on the ST, you’re likely pretty close to the riding position of the CTX. My STs are set up with peg lowering and raised bars, so for the most part, they’ve become more tourer than sport (my preference as I’m older).
not going to get the knee angle even close

I fit the CTX.....I'm 5'7" with a 30" inseam.....Al's #10 post seems about right....A taller rider's shins may touch the back of the plastic valve/head cover....the cover does have a rubber bumper so if your shins touch it's against that....The picture in post 10 is the ST1300 not the 1100..... If you are interested take a test ride to see how you fit!! Some people love the 1100, some love the 1300...the CTX is a different bike....(I've owned 12 motorcycles and have loved them all )...Russ.

My best riding buddy, @JRob, hits the road with a CTX. Added a touring windscreen and you would think it is a GoldWing if you didn't know better. Eats up the miles. Not sure his mileage, maybe he'll chime in? Well farkeled, and spotless!!!

Sent my CTX700 to a good home in SC a few months ago after adding 6k in a year. Loved the bike, just not a fan of the chain drive, would easily take me and my wife on 100+ mile trips on the highway at highway speeds with no issues.

BTW- @ardykay54 , there is an annual miles list on the CTX forum that I host on my Google Drive. It's a sticky thread in the Touring & Ride Reports subforum over there. Find the link to it in the first post of that thread. Like the mileage tracker list here except a lot fewer riders have reported in on it.

There is also a member map on that forum if you care to pin your general location.

also BTW- the ONLY way the CTX700 is in any way related to the CTX1300 is the first part of its name. It is a very different bike. More like the NC700 series.
