When my first sip gets interrupted, I should be legally allowed to restart the entire morning like a crashed laptop... :coffee:

G'Day...

this week takes like forever... 😖

18°/28°C, dark overcast in the morning, with everything still soaking wet from the night's downpours... 🌧️
glaring bright sun during the entire day though... ☀️ (... and of course they issued a "heat warning"... pfffff...)

hope everyone is properly caffeinated with whatever style, brand or method of preparation preferred... ☕

ze GF (still with a stuffy nose) is on her NT...
me, I'm in the trusty Toyota... there is a sale on (my favorite) beverages... on the way home I intend to buy more then an ST's payload... ;)
yeah, there have been times we made fun about those folks collecting coupons, hunting for promotional sales and that...
now we're right in that alley, there are products one can only buy when they're on sale...
life got expensive since the conversion to that (AKA (T)Euro... )... :cautious:

just finished my office Nescafé, while excited voices muffle through my office door... dunno what they're arguing about again... :shrug2:

You can't expect a workplace to function, when there no repercussions for the lazy ones, whilst zero incentives are offered for those with strong work ethics...
Instead those who do work and perform, get strafed with a criticism-routine and constantly increased workloads...

still, we're halfway through the week, can't get any worse now... 😎

Good morning and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

53/78 are the numbers for today, and it's partly cloudy.
NH is similar.

My bladder woke me at 4:35, and then the alarm woke me at 5:00.
Cats couldn't understand why I wouldn't feed them at 4:35...
They're now all set, and we're on our way north for our part in this weekend's racing

I did manage a short walk, yesterday, without much of a problem. I'll keep it up,when we get home.

Enjoy your day,
Steve

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the start, Martin.

hope everyone is properly caffeinated with whatever style, brand or method of preparation preferred...

That'd be a fresh pot of Waypoint, by Compass, in the House of Fun.

It's 66°F according to the outdoor temperature sensor built into my HVAC system, but Windows claims it's just 62. Either is fine and pleasant. Sunny with a high around 86 is expected later.

Yesterday's ride went well. I wandered down to Union Station in DC for lunch, then trolled around the National Mall and Lafayette Park before heading home. There's a frenzy of setup activity ahead of the oncoming Smithsonian Folk Life Festival and Independence Day celebrations. There are literally miles and miles of tall heavy temporary fences set up along the entire Mall, I presume for crown management purposes but it gives the place an eerie, stalag-like feeling. Also, the tourist / visitor presence was notably diminished relative to what it typically is. I won't speculate in public why that might be.

Today there'll be the now-customary late afternoon half-round of golf. What might precede that is an open question.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning Martin, and the rest of you all!

13 and sunny for the ride in, headed to 22 and sunny for the ride home.

Yesterday's purchase of the Cub Cadet was a success, just barely, with me getting the last of the 5 leftover 2024 models that they had a week ago when I went to look and get a quote. They were also offering a promotion of $200 off or 0%/36mo financing. They do charge a $150 finance setup fee, so had I gone that route I'd only really have saved $50. I took the $200 off. No flies on me, well other than the darned black flies. Hopefully the decreased mowing times will decrease the little biting buggers.

Hope everyone has a super day.

Obo.

purchase of the Cub Cadet...
Seems to be the XT2...
Over here offered by Stanley Black & Decker... with 4 different engines/mowing deck widths... quite a selection on accessories, incl plow, snowblower and, most important: a bull-bar...

anything for the self-respecting gardener... ;)

Thanks Martin. Pretty bold of you to state it can't get any worse this week... do you know something we don't? 😄
John, I thought @Obo posted a picture of his yellow taxi mower yesterday, but it IS still my first cup of coffee, so I might have dreamed that.
Even though it would be pretty weird for me to dream of another man's lawnmower.
Rode to work in the rain yesterday, and the same coming home. But I was late leaving work, and got to the polls 6 minutes before they closed, to vote in the runoff elections.
I believe I've already shared my disappointment in the low voter turnout (not unusual in a runoff). Not sure of the numbers, but 10-15% of voters were expected.
Next, I suppose, our state elections will be canceled due to lack of interest.
Meanwhile in more positive news, SpaceX and their IPO followed the path of Microsoft back in the day, creating lots of millionaires among their employees.
Good on them and on Elon. Like him or not, he's employing many folks and I like business much more than government.
More rain today, we are told, but not at this time.
I have more ⚫️ Black Rifle if anyone wants to stop by and breathe in our impressive (some might say OPpressive) humidity.
It's Summer In The South.
And it happens.
I'm going to use what little energy I have today to breathe and maybe to blink. That's about it.

@ST1100Y Correct, XT2 LX46. Wanted a mower deck that was built vs stamped & a bit better transmission (still not "officially" serviceable. It has no drain plugs or filter that you can access without removing the transmission, although you can buy the drain bolts and drill/tap the ready-to-use castings in the bottom. The filter and 3 magnets are still only accessible by splitting the case. I may do that anyway to switch the OEM oil to synthetic.) The XT2 has some extra features over the XT1 line that make the extra $$ worth it, such as real wheel bearings vs plastic bushings, the push bar, hour meter, electric PTO, arm rest and better seat, twin cylinder engine (vs a single cylinder..) as well as a 3yr unlimited hrs warranty.

Me getting scolded because a "coworker" (who of course is shining through his (frequent) absence again) has ordered the wrong outdoor units...
Despite me handing him the printout of the design program, plus the offer from the importer...
Who now has 3 mid sized outdoor units in the warehouse, instead one small and one large model, plus the client is insisting on a startup by the 19th... (otherwise penalties...)
On site are two power supplies, and two wall brackets...

But of course am I now the 💩💀... pfffff... 🙄

Good Morning, happy Hump day. Well I'm glad to be home,1150 kilometers from Edmonton to Delta, half of that in the rain ( felt like it). Left Edmonton 7am got home 8:37 ish Local time, have to add an extra hour to the actual time of the ride as Edmonton to is in another time zone.

Thanks Martin, Y'all have a great day, G

Morning Martin & All from sunny Southern Utah!

Currently it is 86F, heading for 93F. My home weather station said we got a high of 100F yesterday. I'm thinking we could see the same today! The winds are already blowing out of the S @ 8mph. Later they'll be out of the WSW @ 15 to 28mph.

I stayed inside most of the day. I did go out to feed the birds, after the temps went down a bit. Today, looks like a WallyWorld trip in instore, according to Chris. Since it's too hot outside to do anything, I'll go with her.

The washer seems to be working great. No leftovers :poop: from under the agitator! :hat3:

Eggs, bacon, toast & OJ to start the morning. Pepsi(s) will round out the day!

Anyone :bk13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
