Looking for some assistance Levin, Kentucky got an 06S.T considering delvik exhaust slip ons, call so possibly removing the air box snorkels. Freeing up the air a bit looking for someone who is experienced in these modifications and would be willing to assist me. Please reach out really like the aftermarket. Slip on exhaust notes. But don't want a lot of decel popping, anybody experienced on these topics? Please reach out. Thank you, we'll pay for some assistance.

I've noted several threads here over the years about this exhaust.
Since I like the stock pipes very much, I was never that interested to read them.
While you're waiting for some replies that are more helpful than this one, you might try using the Search function here if you haven't already.
Some here really like them, and have them working just fine.
But look up the proper spelling first, as I'm pretty sure you don't have it right.
It might be "Delkevic", or similar.
That's about all I can offer, sorry.

There's a fella on the youtube who made a few videos about the ST that I found interesting. I don't agree with everything he's concluded, but that's okay, we're all different folks and can look at things from different perspectives. He has a video here that talks about some of the modifications you are thinking about. I'm of the opinion those snorkels are designed to flow air better than having nothing there to funnel or direct the air at all - that doesn't mean they're optimized for the best performance if you start changing air filters and exhaust, but i do believe they will flow air far better than not having them at all. No harm in trying it out if you're curious though.

I put the Delikevic slip-ons on my bike and I really do like them. They are a little louder than stock, but not by too much (I kept the baffles in). To my ear, they sound throaty and nice - but some may disagree. They absolutely will accentuate or amplify the decel popping. It seems to be a common belief that most aftermarket exhausts will do this. While improper install can be a factor, I do believe the decel popping is there with the factory exhaust, but it's muffled more and likely mitigated some by the catalytic converters that will be removed when you replace the stock silencers. Whatever you try, you can always put it back the way it was.

Anyway I could call and talk to you about it, lmk thank you

Can't comment on the mod to a 1300 but I did put a complete Delkevic system on my ST1100.
I noticed no performance impact at all. The sound is elevated noticeably but is not bothersome.
I Harley notice the difference.

sorry

Ty yeah I put a complete on my xr650l also no gains just good sounds

Nothing can really be done to the ST to make it a beast. Imo...I've never heard of anyone doing maps on it...pipes and air will do little for hp. Very little....now if you could find some cams....

I have written about 8 or 10 afr maps. Am very happy with my last two,,, one for track,, and one for street. It seems to me there are too many people with firm opinions against afr mod's, who havn't actually tested them or gained any such experience on the st13. I do agree that owners expectations have to be realistic,, and are often not. CAt'

removing the funnels,,, leaves a short tapered stack,, about 1.2" tall. Adding slipons' and making intake mod's will improve your power to weight ratio,,, and will smooth the sag (somewhat) out of the low to mid rpm range's torque curve. Your bike will likely run leaner and pop more in the mid to upper rev's on decel. Your bike needs to be in good tune,,, both before and after mod's. But,,, improved performance and rideability is doable. Expectations need to be reasonable,,, cheers,, CAt'

ps: both my st13's have no funnels,,, intake and afr mod's,, and slip-on's. I am very pleased with the outcomes.

The snorkels are part of the acoustic tuning in the air box. This tuning uses reflected pressure waves when intake valves close from one cylinder, to push additional charge into other cylinders where the intakes are still open. I don’t know what RPM this tuning is optimized for, probably not top end power though. Removing the snorkels may add some peak power at high RPM (dunno) but at the potential cost of reduced midrange power and introduction of drivability issues. None of that probably matters much for a racing engine though.
It’d be nice to see some (non-butt) objective dyno comparisons.

I have Delkelvic 14” round on mine. I did not modify the intake at all. I like the exhaust note from them as they are not to loud. There is some deceleration popping but the throttle controls that popping. If I’m like on the throttle then popping is mild and minimal but if I am heavy handed and decelerating quickly then there is tons of popping but I like the sound of the pops. Lol
