Forgive my ignorance on this matter.
What is the difference between a touring tire and a cruising tire?:think1:
Can you switch from one to the other?
I'm asking because of the shortage of some sizes and models.

I can give you my take on the differences. Mostly a touring tire will last a lot longer and have more load capacity. Cruiser tire not so much. Although both can probably be used on some bikes if it was me I'd use a oem touring tire if my bike called for it.

Weird side-note:
whilst originally designated as OEM tire for the ST1100, are dealers listing the Bridgestone G547 & G548 now often in the Cruiser segment...
Bridgestone however still keeps them in the touring listings:

Been using diff combinations of bridgestone tires on my rides. Presently, im using avon spirits. I dont like judging a tire before i wear it out, but so far the avons are a better tire. The rear still looks brand new after 4500 mi.

My longest lasting tire was a metezler 880 rear going 18000 miles, just real pricey for the ST 13
