Evening!

I’m in the process of rebuilding my 1990 Pan and I’ve purchased a set of 2 line brake lines.

I have a double banjo bolt for the lines at the master cylinder, but it just doesn’t look ‘right’ to me.

Does anyone have a similar set up that can share a photo??

I would have turned them down too.... don't know what you have, but sometimes there was a tab cast onto the master cylinder to position the original lines.... many who went stainless simply cut that tab off with their Dremel..... if that is preventing you from rotating them down.

Assuming the hardware is correct, functionaly there's nothing wrong with it. That's one way to go with new SS lines, there 4 or 5 other ways with single banjo too.

I think it depends on what triggers your ADD... :)

I don’t have picture handy but mine currently look like yours, OP, from what I recall. On other bikes I’ve done, they’ve pointed a variety of directions.

Mine may change shortly since I’m moving to the CBR600 F3 master cylinder. I’ll post before and after pics when I’m done.

Thanks all, yeah it’s the ‘tab’ on the master that seems to be causing me the pain.

brakes all work fine, great feel and pressure.

I’ve just rebuilt the calipers and have new seals, pins, pads and lines…and have a vacuum bleeder, so even with new dry lines and a stupid archway it wasn’t an issue.

but as I say, doesn’t ‘look’ right to me!

I may try and put the lines under the tab rather than on top of it see if that works/looks better…

@Smudgemo - have you ground down the tab? I see your banjo is straighter than mine (no laughing at the back!! :p)

I don't recall cutting anything, but I got the bike with the two lines, so it's possible and it was gone and I never noticed anything. I don't have it anymore so I can't look. I also agree that the upward route you have will work fine but any air in the system will be a hard to remove.

My ST-Rider group-buy double front brake lines installed below/under the tab on the master cylinder reservoir without a problem, as for many others. Looks good. FWIW
