hi just for your consideration and no controversy. lubriplate gear shield i used it on all my bmws airheads ,1500 wing, st11/13 with excellent results. still on gear teeth at 10000 miles

good to know, but I doubt it makes much difference what lube you use on the drive splines, nobody here seems to take it all that seriously.

Roadrider, I too use the Lubriplate on splines. CV Joints too. Excellent product at a decent price.

I used it on my air cooled VW's (105,000 miles on a 2 liter bus and 185,000 miles on a Type III Squareback) and GL1000 (77,000 miles). Never a failure and no noticeable wear.
