I just bought a Grasshopper back rest. Installed it on the bike but haven't really driven much yet. Others on here have one also and they like them....
Made my own :
part office chair adjustable support piece / designed & welded special adapter bracket to bolt to ST's frame / seat support , got the cover from JC Whitney (threw away it's glued pieces foam pad which kind of felt like a brick ) ; replaced with better foam & memory foam layer.
( made a pouch snapped onto the back for kickstand plate & other little random crap )
Biker's Friend motorcycle barrel bag offers back support and storage all in one. Luggage comes in five sizes. Includes lumbar roll, back rest pads and more.
I must have short arms. I don't sit upright enough to make contact with a backrest, even with Gen 3.1 Heli risers. (And my RDL has a backrest, so I've tried.)
