Electrical connector help

I was gifted a Powerlet Dual Rear Kit (PKT-028) for the ST1300 (thank you @Ryan_B !) which is missing the wiring harness to connect to the bike's battery.

I'd like to keep the original connector on the Powerlet side, but need its female counterpart for the harness I'll build myself.

I've looked on http://www.cycleterminal.com/ and https://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/Elec__Products/Connectors/250_Connectors/250_connectors.html and according to Eastern Beaver it appears to be a Sumitomo LT Type .250” Connector. But wouldn't you know it? cycleterminal.com doesn't list it. And Eastern Beaver's min qty and shipping are too rich for just this one connector.

Any suggestions for where I might find one?

Umm, you could ask Powerlet (reacquired by original owners), I'm sure they will have the parts!

You could just use two matching individual terminals.

I bought a combo box of multi-pin connectors, male and female, on Amazon for about 16 bucks.
I'm quite sure I'll never use them all.
They are mentioned here elsewhere in electrical threads.

I believe I have the correct powerlet harness that goes from that unit to the battery.
I'll dig around in my parts cabinet and see if I can locate it.

Did visit them first. Both are locking connectors. The Sumitomo looks like both blades are parallel to one another, the Yazaki appear perpendicular. Both would work if I decide to cut off the original connector. I'm not there yet, but I'm close. Not sure of the female Yazaki will work even with its locking tab that will lock with nothing! Of course I won't cut anything until I have all parts in hand first.

Yes, I agree! I got a reply from Joe and though he was sorry he didn't have an exact match he did recommend I visit Eastern Beaver. Truly a Miracle on 34th St, Macys/Gimbles moment.

I think I've got the same kit, but I think the wire gauge is too large to allow two wires inserted into one terminal like on this original connector. I' rather not cut it and have to crimp two wires into one terminal if I can avoid it.

Don't snip the connector off. Remove the pins from the connector and find a 2 pin pair that will accept that size/style pin.

Yeah, you're right. Had a brain cramp on which direction the terminals were inserted into the connector.

Joe from cycleterminal.com suggested the same thing in an email to me.

I thought of that at first and then mistakenly convinced myself that the terminal was inserted from the other direction.

I agree wholeheartedly! I'm always impressed by the passion shared by so many across the motorcycling community, whether it's guys like Joe and Jim keeping us flush with connectors or @Mellow keeping this site vibrant and alive to @Igofar freely sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience (go ahead, try and stop him!)

This is but one small part of the reason I read everything on here, even if it doesn't seem to apply to me or my situation at the moment.
The previously-unheard-of resources, as well as the I-don't-need-to-do-that-yet projects are being stored on Google Drive and Evernote. They're both more efficient than my old-style, stuffed-to-overflowing drawers in my file cabinets.
