I spent a week in Colorado riding passes and canyons with my buddies Offroad and Longranger ( a local who lived in Evergreen Co) a few years ago. It is indeed a beautiful place. Loveland Pass, Berthoud Pass, Gore Pass, Tenessee Pass, Freemont Pass, Guanella Pass, Kenosha Pass, Ute Pass, Wilkerson Pass, we had a grand time.

Wish I had known when you were here. Could have joined you for a day.

Hey Phil, you have to come back and ride them all again, in the opposite direction. The mountain roads tend to have a different look when you're riding uphill, or downhill, the views change considerably.

I actually rode over them and then rode them back ... ;)

All very nice pics- I was in Colorado 6/17- 6/24- went to the base of Mt. Evans (now called Mt. Blue Sky for some reason) and you need reservations to go to the top, which we didn’t because we didn’t know you needed them. I was at lower elevations: Estes Park, Peak to Peak Highway, Left Hand Canyon, Rist Canyon, and some other roads that escape me now- my brother had his 2001 VMax and I used the 04 ST. Great riding overall and I believe > 1000 miles for the week (A->A trips, usually ~ 150 miles round trip). I was just out this AM on the scooter, but it’s really hot in SC now (left at 6:30AM and was back ~ 9:30A). Up at altitude in CO, I was never cold, just really comfortable with the armored shirt and airbag vest on.

Sorry, no pics at altitude, just the bikes at a stop in Black Hawk.

How many of you have ridden Kebler Pass, (9980ft) Or better yet for the more adventures, Cinnamon Pass (12620ft) or better yet Mosquito Pass (13986ft) and those of you that are very daring Schofield Pass (10707ft) and those of you that are crazy Black Bear Pass. (12840ft) Kebler can be done with a road bike as long as it is dry. The rest, better bring your dirt bike. I must confess I have not ridden Schofield Pass or Black Bear. and now I am just too old and wiser to try. Although I have a good riding buddy that has done Black Bear on a BMW R100GSPD. He is the one who taught me to ride dirt. We have ridden a lot of the Colorado Back Country together. He grew up in Durango and Gunnison so he knew all the dirt adventures. O I forgot did a third attempt at Mosquito Pass with OKcKeith a few years ago. Did not make it to the summit that time, but we did Hagerman Pass (11925ft) with no issues. For a flat lander OKcKeith did great on the dirt.

. . . and with only one tire on the road . . . the front one, only coasting once started; using only 1 pint of fuel! :sneaky-2x:

Shuey

PS: This absolutely would't surprise me to be true! :giggle-2x:
