Exped Air Management

I've been wondering about using an electric pump to inflate my Exped 9 mattress. I'm thinking that I could press a pump to the air intake hole (that you push your palm against as you push on the manual pump) and pump air in through that. But then again the one way valve may restrict the airflow way too much for that to work.
The other option would be to somehow blow air into the air outlet valves, but they are a pretty tricky design to attach a pump to.

Has anyone figured out an easy way to inflate (or partially inflate) an Exped mattress with an electric pump?

I'm now using a 12V pump from Wally World (their brand, not a Coleman.) It fits the air inlet without an adapter. Squeeze the built-in valve to let the air flow. Works well. Nice thing, air goes in but doesn't come out until yur ready. I pump it up pretty firm as that's what my body likes. To deflate, I pull the plug while still laying on it, then fold it double length wise and lay on it again.

Bob-
Thanks for the report. In spite of your first time experience in the field with the Schnozzel I would think it still has to be a better way to go than the Exped built in hand pump.

ken,

I think so to. As I mentioned, the Schnozzel adds zero weight/volume to my load, so why not bring it along? I did not use the foot strap that's built in and that would have immobilized the bag to a degree. Next time....
