Finally...numb fingers solution

Bribak

Hello all,

These are bicycling gloves, not motorcycle gloves.

Numb fingers have been a BIG problem for me (right hand index and middle fingers) - to the point of where I constantly can't feel the front brake lever. I always float these two fingers over the brake lever. I also use a Throttlerocker.

I put 120 miles on these new gloves today, and didn't even get a tingle in my right hand index and middle fingers! Usually the problem would surface in as little as 10-20 miles for me. While the results are not conclusive yet, I am really excited about the likelihood of these gloves being a solution for me. The Shock-Tek feature (channel in palm for median nerve to rest uncompressed) looks like it may very well do the trick (at least for me).

The model I bought was the TrailPro. Go up to OUR GLOVES at the top of the page (once you open the link) and the different models will become available. If you decide to give these a try, be careful to make sure the model you get has the SHOCK-TEK palm feature (they don't all have it).

If you prefer real cycle gloves, there are two other websites sites I've found that have the same idea implemented in their gloves:

http://www.shocktek.com/index2.html

http://www.qwinerveprotector.com/MotorcycleGlove.html

I have not tried either of these.

Hope this info might prove helpful to someone.

Good luck, Brian

Went to the site. They look pretty cool. $30 is not too bad considering a lot of the over-priced alternatives out there.

just got my new Shock-tek leather, gauntlet motorcycle gloves and rode for 2 hrs. Really comfy, great fit, and "as advertised" for keeping the carpal tunnel pain/numbness at bay. Not cheap but really good gloves. For me the fit is outstanding too. I am very pleased.

I had the same numb finger problems. I put a set of grip puppies on my grips (soft foam) and this solved the problem for me.

Can you say where on your hand it is where pressure is compressing the median nerve?
