First ride on my KZ650 C2 in 2015.

This afternoon I had a chance to get out and go for a ride on my KZ650. Beautiful day today, average temp was 42*. Started out I was only going to run into town, about a 20 mile round trip. I could tell after I got started, that I had to just keep on going. I ended up with a 106 mile ride. Great day all around.



With my miles on the ST1100 & now getting a chance to ride the KZ, that bumps my 2015 miles up to 963 as of today.

I just want to Ride!!

Nice bike, a friend of mine had a KZ 650 back in the late 1970's. We took a trip to Gatlinburg, TN . I had a new 1979 Honda 750 SS at the time.

I owned a '77 red version. Put all the Vetter stuff on it. Great bike. Ran flawlessly! Nice bike you have there!

No changes for me. The ZR part of GreenZR comes from the faring I picked up back in 1980. It is from the 1978 Z1-R, since mine is not the 1000, I just shortened it to ZR. My KZ650 is a 1978 also, I have had it since November of 1979. It now has 137,586 miles on it.

I had one of the blue ones, with the Vetter/Kaw color matched fairing and a set of Bates bags. It was a great bike, and I wish I still had it. I thought I needed shaft drive, though, and traded it on a Suzuki GS850; the worst bike I ever owned.
