Thanks, I've seen that before. Unfortunately, I saw it after I installed my carbs and buttoned everything up.I purchased the tool because I wanted to do the idle drop procedure and you need the tool to do that.
If you have the carbs off the bike, you can make your own tool for the cost of a short length of copper tubing from Home Depot. Just squeeze one end with needle-nose pliers:
