yeah, we survived another week, finally Friday again...

commute in low traffic a breeze...

gonna rush home (GF's) to not get caught in the wet stuff from above...

ze GF is in her car (the dull Skoda Octavia 2ltr Diesel automatic) and intends to do the groceries in the afternoon

arriving at her place last night I was soaked, went inside, gear off, swim-trunks on, under the garden shower and collapsing in the deck chair AHHHHH!!

Hope to do more of that over the weekend, but will spend Saturday in the bike shed...

Good morning and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

It's 59 and sunny, becoming partly cloudy as it rises to 81.

Yesterday's PT session went well, and I'm going to keep doing what I have been doing. I'll also expand my walking to stretch the muscles a bit.
So after dinner, I did about 1.1 miles, instead of the 0.8 that I had been doing.
It still felt good.

Today is a COMSCC day at the track , so I'll be heading there in a bit.
Dinner at our local Mexican restaurant , afterward.

Thanks for the coffee Martin!

It is about 54F and very sunny. Depending on the weather service referenced it will hit somewhere between 76F and 79F before dropping back to the mid 50s for the evening.

The garage build continues. We are waiting for the concrete guy to set forms and pour the floor. When that is done and cured for a few days the door openings can be framed and the "door guys" scheduled for install. Vinyl siding application should begin today. A little more prep work and we can get the electrician here to set up the generator and other wiring.
Yesterday was eventful. I was using my hydraulic dump trailer to get some crushed stone. On my second load the body started to lift to dump it and there was a "Bang" and it dropped back and the front shifted sideways a few inches. After grabbing a shovel and manually unloading (according to the scale) 4260 pounds of crushed rock I found that the pivot hinge for the body had separated from the trailer frame. For those that know, it looks like it was a cold weld. There was a little tack from the welding rod but no metal from the frame or hinge involved in the joint. The dealer and manufacturer have been contacted about warranty repair.

Nothing very exciting planned for today. There is sourdough starter warming on the counter so I can make a loaf later.

@sah48 Everything hinges on something else, doesn't it? Here's hoping it's covered under warranty, although that does little for the 4260lbs that didn't care a darned about warranties.

15C under sun and clouds here, headed to 23. Like Scott said, the prediction based on which weather service you choose to look at.

Last weekday of my vacation, and the list is longer than when I started the week. Pity we didn't get to go away and relax somewhere, but c;est la vie, right?

My usual Friday routine has been interferred, as Mrs Stus’ siblings once again are having a get together at MILs place.
Not my cup o’tea, but sometimes it turns out better than expected.
Better bring my own drink, they are totally unpredictable in most ways.

I’ve finished the concrete foundation for the deck.
For some strange reason, concrete work was easier 30 years ago, when the former deck was laid….
25 pillars done, and started to mount the beams.

13˚c/55f, 25mph breeze from north, overcast, patches of fog.
No heatwave.

I’m waiting on a fuel truck to deliver oil to a neighbour.
It’s never easy Stu! They call it the golden years. Pfffft!
I now have the new bearings & seals, for the front hubs on my tractor. I also picked up the new front tires last evening.
After I’m done with the fuel delivery, I’ll get it all put back together.

Good Morning, happy Friday. Wet stuff coming down, totally overcast 15 C. Major thunder storms last night mother nature watered the grass,more like soaked it. Breakfast was the usual, eggs on toast and Coffee ( thanks Martin). Well not much else to say but have a great day G

This seems to be my best coffee shop. There's always good, inexpensive coffee, (thanks just the same Martin) since I make it myself. And much carrying on about nothing much in conversation. My lot today - putting finishing touches on some ride planning and food stops to provide entertainment for some out of town friends who'll stop by tomorrow. Life is good!

G'mornin' from wheezy SoMD! It sure is smoky here today, it really moved in overnight, AQI went from 56 to 252 in less than 12 hours. Temps are going to be lower as a result, 85F/29C now creeping up to 89F. Rain was forecast but not anymore as I think the smoky air is limiting sunshine heating of the air. But through all of this coffee is the one true constant, thanks Martin!

I am WFH today so i could get new tires on the Av, and with the smoky air it's a secondary blessing. I'd rather not be out in that brown soup. Which sucks bc I do need to do stuff outside, but it's not THAT critical. So, I'll find inside things to do. Do a little 3D printing, maybe shampoo some carpeting. See how the work day unfolds but it's usually very quiet on Fridays (oops, did I just jinx it?!?).

This weekend I have a birthday party to attend, a rehearsal (yep, I'm back in it), and maybe some mowing and garage stuff if the temps are tolerable. Take care y'all!

Morning Martin & All from a cloudy Southern Utah!

Currently it is 78F, heading for only 82F, with possible thunderstorms rolling around us. It seems it all keeps missing us. We were told, today around this time (11AM) we would get a pounding. Obviously, that's not going to happen! Maybe later. A slight breeze right now, but later the winds should be out of the SSW @ 8 to 10mph.

And it looks like the thunderstorms will continue though to the 26th. Subject to change without notice, of course!

I spent most of yesterday waiting for the fridge repair guy to show up. No communications at all. What happens when you have one of your friends as a repair guy, I guess. So we've cleaned out the fridge and put everything in our old 25 year garage fridge for now and I shut the problem one down. So it's just a waiting game now.

Other than that, our SoCal son is bringing up his oldest daughter (I think she's 11) to spend the week with grandma. They will have a number of sewing projects to do. Then, next week, the whole family will come up for a few days.

Eggs, bacon, toast & OJ for the morning start. Pepsi(s) (in the ice chest) for later.
