My favorite mug is chipped, stained...
Don't you dare to use it... ever...
There are rules… otherwise its mug-archy… :coffee:

G'Day...

2°/16°C and... ☀️
but don't let that glaring, fiery orb above fool you, we had a clear, starry night and, as the frost covered cars in the shade proof, its still cold... 🥶

topped up with cerebral additives... ☕

Thursday turned again out to be busiest day of the week... heavy traffic... (dunno if that's a Euro-specific symptom, or also occurs elsewhere...),
so I had to take my 'detour for the detour' on back-roads through various settlements to get home... counted like 10 stationary speed cameras/traps on the way...

Its spring, definitely... the potholes are blooming... me zig-zagging in between...
Gonna get even worse once the April/May Monsoons strike, washing them out even more...
They spend millions on wiping out car lanes and parking spaces to replace them with smooth, nicely paved bicycle lanes, even invented a special, red, non-slip tarmac for them...
But regular road maintenance? Nah! Not until smart-cars start to vanish without a trace... 😑

ze GF is getting serious though... inserted the protectors (I'd removed for washing/impregnate in fall...) back into her summer/mesh riding gear... 😎
she also grabbed her new, still packed Schuberth C3 pro lid and the SEAN components, obviously intending to install them over the weekend...
she also rummaged though all her other riding gear, sorting under-gloves and then some... I do sense some Unruhe there... ;)
she'll however postpone her test ride for another two weeks, fearing still not having enough leg strength yet... more gym visits in the pipeline...

on the positive side: the weekend is here... 😎
hunt for food and provisions, chores, having some me-time in the afternoon...

Thanks for the wakeup Martin. Fortunately I have never had to indulge in the coffee cup battle although I have witnessed it .... 'nuff said!

Spring, pffffttttt, I think you jest. Although the sun is still slumbering here I can see in the cheery glow of my security light another couple inches of snow was deposited overnight..... double pfffftttttt!!!

It is about 24F under cloudy skies with a proposed high of 30F with the clouds remaining.

The mother-in-law visit went well, considering. From what I saw, the report about her nearly ready to leave for the endless sleep was a bit exaggerated. She does sleep a lot and has reduced eating a bit but circling the drain she isn't. I was a bit concerned when she said I was looking well as that is a bit unusual!!

Exciting times today shall include meeting my eldest for lunch if he can escape the office and (but first) removing a snow pile blocking my door. I returned from my travels late last night to find the last of the snow that had accumulated on my roof the last couple weeks had finally slid off. That fluffy stuff packs HARD when it hits the ground!

Be safe, be careful and beware of flying coffee mugs!!

Scott

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee start, Martin, and good luck to Stu on the hand procedure.

It's 45°F, cloudy, and foggy in Rockville. The fog is real, and outdoors, not merely inside my sleep-addled head although there may be some there, too: my "night of sleep" consisted of a three hour nap and a two hour doze, separated by about four hours of wakefulness. Thank goodness for test cricket broadcasts- there's little viewing more soothing and calming than that, particularly when the telecast is not interrupted by loud and obnoxious advertising.

Had I not canceled my trip to FL yesterday afternoon I'd have been on the road for a couple hours already but instead here I sit pecking at rows of little plastic buttons and watching them produce odd squiggles on a magic display screen. To fill the unexpected free time today I've booked a round of goof. I'm certain I'll have to walk the course, as the ground will be saturated and soggy and power carts won't be allowed out. That's fine with me, I need the exercise anyhow.

When Mrs. Fun learned that I wasn't headed south she immediately tried to strongarm me into heading north to PA with her tomorrow. I stood firm, however, and made it clear that I was not interested in spending a full week of my time and resources to "help" someone who does absolutely nothing to help herself. We eventually settled on a schedule that has me going up next Friday and returning Sunday.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Another fine morning, made all the finer because it's Friday, because it's warm, and another reason I've already forgotten.
Maybe because no one will be slicing my hand? Good luck Stu, and here's to a good nap while they do the deed.
But while I'm enjoying the warmth - 83 yesterday! - this afternoon will usher in a round of storms to soak us ALL weekend. It's been dry here, so I shouldn't complain.
Spring showers, or ugly firehoses to fill the reservoirs.
And it's time to start cutting the weeds again. Well, it comes with the spring and summer territory, and at least I didn't have to run a snow blower.
So again, I won't complain.
Someone mentioned flying coffee mugs... why would someone throw their coffee mug?
I would never do that.
Rather than hang around while trying to recall whether I was going to say something else, I'll just toddle off and refill my cup before it tries to fly away.
I've expanded my skills.
I can now forget what I was doing while still doing it...

G'mornin' from SoMD! More like Fri-bleh here, with yet more fog and gloom. But the weekend beckons and I'm tanking up on the good stuff, thanks Martin! The gloom is forecast to continue into Monday but the warmth also arrives with the impending daylight savings here. Now, if the ground would just dry up some....

Yet another WFH day, and just got word yesterday that my telework time will be extended yet another week due to the shutdown. Not really complaining since I'm saving time and gas by not commuting, and I've even lost a few pounds. So, sure, I'll keep being productive right here at home...which is what I was doing before this last year of nonsense started.

And a good luck wish sent out to Stu. Hope your had surgery is all right, or you'll only have one hand, left.
As long as they work on the correct hand. Cutting up the wrong one would be bad. I suggest writing a big Sharpie note on it.

Nothing else to report. Soooo, take care y'all!

As I recall, they are doing the right hand, so as long as it's "all right" and all right, he'll have one hand left, and one other hand, not left. Right?

Good Morning, thanks to whoever Started the thread , yeah after reading all of it don't remember who started it, which is saying I need more Coffee to get brain and memory working. Morning Martin & All from mostly sunny, Southern Utah!

It looks like the storm has left us, but the cold has not. Currently it is 38F, up from 30F, and heading for 40F. The winds are already blowing from the NE @ 10 to 12MPH. Later, they will be blowing form the NNE @ 17 to31mph. And they are saying that there is still a possibility we might get some more snow/rain! I'll believe it when I see it! :well1:

Obo, looks like a nice trailer, thanks, but I converted my box trailer for such duties, when needed.

The Tacoma is at the shop, they wanted to leave it, so the glue would dry properly, then put the oil in it and it will be ready, sometime today.

Once Chris is up, we'll get some breakfast (probably boiled eggs) and have some Pepsi later.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Morning all! Grey and rainy here, 7C with a predicted high of 9C. The tree blossoms are in out in full force. Feels weird to be seeing them this early even after a couple years here. Still on Alberta time tree blossom wise I guess where we wouldn't start seeing them till May.

Back in training today. Yesterday went reasonably well. In addition, it looks like we may finally have a deal collective agreement wise, though how the government proposal was phrased was definitely dickenish and I don't mean Charles.

Best be off, hope everyone has a great day!

I guess it's still morning somewhere...
Thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

It started out in the 40s, and is currently 59 in Brides Les Baines.
My skiing is over , but I had a great time while it happened.
We toured Borg St Morice today , stopped for a great lunch , and taxied back home.
After dinner, we'll pack, so we're ready for an early start for Geneva, tomorrow.

The lady who broke her hip was operated on, and was released today. Her husband and our trip organizer are making arrangements for a more comfortable ride home .

Enjoy your day,
Steve

Good afternoon all!
I’m late - again!
We had a good turn out for our Friday breakfast group! We travel to Alva, Florida, and dine in the “Alva Diner.”
Nothing much else to report 70/90F - 20/30C
It’s very dry here this year, there is a lot of concern over fires, due to this!
Miss Patty, how are you?
Enjoy your day!

Already 67° here in northeastern Oklahoma. We definitely got an early spring. We've had some 80's already. Unfortunately, no riding for me. I'm inured and starting physical therapy today.

Ha! We had the tornado sirens going off tonight. I sat on the porch and watched, but we only got hard rain and wind. We generally don't get these kinds of storms until May.
