Coffee is the second most popular beverage in the world, right after water.
People drink about 2.25 billion cups of coffee every day... :coffee:

G'Day...

1°/4°C, dark clouds, 64% RH, snow warning (which I doubt) still up...

home caffeination already worn off... :coffee:
just finished my office Nescafé... ☕ (BTW they still haven't bought beans for the break-room, machine still flashing [REFILL!]... 🤣)

ze GF took her NT for a shakedown/trial run last evening...
new levers work as advised, holding the clutch lever depressed (requiring minimal force on that bike) causes discomfort...
clutch tamer is on the way, hope it won't mess up the throw...
methinks she will get that SS-plate/implant removed in fall/winter, something rubs/jams on the tendons...

refueled the trusty Toyota last night, € 1.879,-/ltr (€ 7.113,-/gal)... thankfully its consumption is moderate...
also drove it through the wash, they have that "buy 9, get the 10th FOC" collectors pass... ✨

office lady just stepped by, I almost burst an "... UNCLE LEO?!!..." out upon spotting her newly tattooed eyebrows... 😁
Yama Hama... It's Fright Night... ;)

But: its Friday! Yesssss... 😎

Thx Martin!
Wasn’t shure if I’d find the site…got a mail from Joe about transferring the site to facebook.
That’s not my universe I’m afraid.
If y’all suddenly dissappear, thankyou for having me.
It’s been fun and educational.

But today we’re still here.

5˚c/41f, 25 mph wind from southeast, rain.

Picking up Peter. He will stay with us for the weekend. Free fun excercise for me.

Now to print out several st1300 related articles before they may disappear…

Have a good one, smile, no 404 errors in heaven!

Yeah, last week the host provider acted up (but denied having any issues on their side...)
FB would have been like his emergency fallback to maintain event announcements...

This is like the second (selective?) meltdown here...
These days things get more complicated, while proof to be less reliable...

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Martin.

Coffee is the second most popular beverage in the world, right after water.
People drink about 2.25 billion cups of coffee every day... :coffee:

2.25 billion cups per day is 821,250,000,000 (821+ billion) cups a year, which is certainly a lot.

BUT, if I have my math right, and if my source is relatively reliable and accurate, in 2021 the world consumed 287,000,000,000 (287 billion) liters of tea, which works out to 1,254,825,000,000 (that's over 1.25 TRILLION) 8 ounce servings.

The same source also cited packaged water as the number one most consumed beverage worldwide.

Ennyhoo... it's 41°F in Rockville, where I'm sooooo glad to be. Sunny skies and a high around 77 are called for in the forecast.

Brie is very glad to have us back at home.

It'll be golf today plus whatever other post-trip recovery actions have to happen.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Morning all, and thanks Martin for the startup.

Coffee is mostly water, with a bean infusion. It's really akin to soup.

Add milk and it's a creamed soup.

4C here and cloudy, but it may hit 9C and become sunny. Figures, as the weekend will be rain.

Have a great day.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

It's sunny and 34, rising to 67 with continued sunshine all day.
We'll get some rain tonight, but it'll be gone by dawn.

Yesterday, after I posted here, my phone reminded me of a barber appointment. I rushed to get ready and go there, and then continued to the gym for some core exercises. I managed enough to make the trip worthwhile, and spent the rest of the day indoors.
I did get my DVT test results back, and there are no blood clots to be found.

Today, I'll head for the gym, again, and maybe head out in search of some new dining room chairs.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning, all. Thanks for the coffee, Martin.

55/77 and sunshine. Can’t complain.

Dang, that a lot of coffee. Another interesting fact….The U.S. burns over 350 Million gallons of gas per day. Probably due to people driving to get coffee.

Staying home this weekend. It’s Mule Day Celebration weekend, and their prediction is 1/4 million visitors for the festivities. Streets will be filled with mules, horses, and covered wagons, along with numerous asses. This is the 52nd annual event, and if you’ve seen one, that’s enough.
