Welcome to Friday, and coffee!
It’s brewed by Mrs Stu, brand unknown, but it works.
Brown bread with peanut butter, boiled eggs.
Pepsi too, if you like.

Been on a three day roadtrip, in beautiful weather.
My son in laws PhD public defense/disputation went well, and the party was held on a mountaintop restaurant, cable car trip included.

Driving home yesterday, I found two lug nuts missing, and the studs broken……pffffffffft!
No real alternative to drive home with 3 lug nuts instead of 5.
Mrs Stu never knew. ( Another brilliant rhyme of mine)

17˚c/63f, 25mph wind from southeast, heavy rain on it’s way…

Today is a lot of car work…pfffft!

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Mrs. Stu. Whatever the brand, blend, and roast, it's tasty.

It's 69°F and mostly cloudy in Rockville. The clouds are the residuum and aftermath of a spectacular lightning storm that passed low overhead around 2000 hours yesterday, bringing with it very heavy rain for a short period. Well, I assume it was a short period- I went to bed and heard nothing after 2030.

There's no rain on tap for today; the temperature will reach about 86 under mostly sunny skies that contain enough moisture to make the feels-like rise to about ten degrees above the actual temperature.

Goof is once again the day's primary agenda item. This evening there/s Jimmy Buffet tribute / cover band playing at a local outdoor shopping-and-dining venue. I may go listen or I may not- I'm not a real dyed-in-the-feathers parrot head. We'll see. Maybe. Perhaps. Or not.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Missing wheel hardware? That's just nuts.

17C and clear for the drive into work. The snooze button this morning must have been the turn off alarm button. So being late, combined with it being a 12 hour workday today, meant the cage. It's also supposed to rain later tonight, possible with some of Keith's light & sound show, so after a ling day and not a lot of sleep, and rain.... the cage made more sense.

Somehow we've made it to the end of the work week.
Thanks for the coffee contributions, I'm almost topped off, after my starter cup at home before the 6 cups at the dinner with the boys, to wash down the hubcap.
I'm stuffed.
Gonna get on my new "little" bike and ride off into the sunrise. After it's already risen. 80+° and rising.
What a fun little bike this is!
Gonna get back to work on my non-functional electrical blinkers soon, maybe y'all can put yet thinking caps on, and watch for a new thread coming.
Last I checked, the relay and fuse were fine, but I'll start all over in the troubleshooting department.
But for now, I'll just stick out my arm.

Good morning, all, and thanks for the start-up and coffee, Stu and Mrs. Stu! Wow, Stu, that is one spectacular sunset!!

Just a quick note, as I have to get my nose to the grind pretty quickly here - I have a translation contract to tackle and it requires a lot of research.
We had a little rain this morning and the sky's still overcast, but it looks like it will turn into a mainly sunny day with a high of 22°C/72°F and a feels-like of 24°C/75°F. Works for me.

OK, gotta go. Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

No idea if this is a thing in Norway or not but here in North America there is a stupid internet game that started in the States a couple of years ago. The game is that teenagers loosen or remove the wheel nuts from cars unbeknownst to the driver. I assume that there is some twisted thrill gained by reporting this on social media. This game had migrated to here but it hadn't been in the news for quite a while. Recently there have been several new incidences of this reported as this game seems to have flared up again. In the most recent incident that I heard of a wheel came off of the car while it was in motion. No injuries were reported but there was quite a bit of damage to the car. Now, besides being a theft deterrent, it would seem that wheel locks are needed to thwart stupidity.

Before starting any vehicular departure- check your nuts.
 
Morning all! Sunny with some scattered clouds. 15C right now, 22C later for the ride home.

Back at work work today. It's nice to work from home occasionally but I much prefer working in the office. Throwback I guess but I like to keep work and home separate, plus I seem to be somewhat more efficient when working at the office...less tantalizing distractions I guess. That being said, working from home does permit a little extra dawdling and puttering with various fun time wasting this and that's as there's no commute. But then again the commute is on the ST so......what was I saying again?

Stu, great pic and congratulations to your son! That's an impressive achievement. Nice that you could go and celebrate with him.

Morning Stu & All from mixed clouds and Sun, in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 85F, heading for 89F. According to the Weather Guessing app, no thunderstorms today, but they are around. We have had the winds all morning from the SSW @ 8 to 9 mph, and later, from the SW @ 18 to 31mph.

Chris decided we needed to make run to ST George, for her to pick up material she needed for a quilt she's working on. While at Hobby Lobby, we came across some vases that would work good for our centerpieces for the table during WeSTOC 30. So we picked up 6 of them. Of course a trip to ST George means, stopping at Costco. Then we headed home around 5pm. After getting home we heard that much of ST George and the surrounding area lost their power, which lasted for some, into this morning. We had gotten out of there, just intime!

Today, I'll be going through stuff for WeSTOC 30. Along with making grab bags for when the attendees get here, will have something to look through on the area.

Eggs, bacon, toast, OJ & Hot Lemon/Honey tea. And thanks for the Pepsi, Stu! :hat3:

G'mornin' from the office! It's a steamy Friday ride into work. Already 77F/25C, slight chance for some pop-up storms but I'm not too worried.
Keith got to have the light show while us further south just got clouds to obscure the lunar eclipse. Next notable one here won't be until late 2028 with a big one June 26, 2029 (thanks Wikipedia). But the coffee is juuuust right, thanks Stu!

Usual workday with a division bomb-drop potluck at noontime. They conveniently left us off the e-mail list until late. So if I even go I'll arrive late and empty-handed, hoover up whatever food is leftover, then probably help with cleanup, then go home and finish out the day. The more I sit here, the more I think not. Just put in my hours and be done. They won't even know/care I'm not there.

Weekend is looking busy. Final horse show for the wife, volleyball ref and a casino event all tomorrow. Sunday though I think will be a day of recuperation.
