Gas mileage helping buy motorcycle

With no comment on the cause and please no one do:

I commute on my motorcycle anyway, but damn is it nice with gas prices going crazy to realize the money saved on gas over my truck is paying two thirds of my motorcycle payment.

So, with a little luck the prices will continue going up until the difference is paying 100% of your payment.

I dont have a bike payment, but my bike only spends my money. The returns are not monetary. But the value is priceless...

All things considered, many riders who only compare gas mileage may find motorbikes are a false economy.
No matter.
Except for the cost of therapy, I don't ride to save money.
But I do save a lot of time, by not having to spend my afternoons sitting in an office with some shrink.
I'm told you never see motorbikes in a psychiatrist's parking lot.
I wouldn't know, because I've never looked for such a parking spot.

I bought my ST with the money I saved after less than a year of not going to a friend's Pub four times a week... the savings are still paying for the gas and insurance.

I doubt you will save much if any at all. Between shorter maintenance intervals and replacing rubber more often you may actually spend more. But a great way to justify riding a bike for the ignorant naysayers.

bike vs truck you probably save money. Truck get about 15-20 mpg , truck tires and maintenance get expensive....should have bought a car.

Brake fluid, oil change. $200.00 yearly

My last commuting truck
$0.40 per mile fuel $4,800 fuel
1 tire $500.00
Brake pads, oil $700.00
Misc $200.00

Assumption is $4.00 per gallon, no labor cost on maint.

Bike $2500.00
Truck $6200.00
