When the 2019 Pan-Gathering got announced a friend (whom I sold the '96 ST) wanted to join, and so did she with her ER-5...
(mind that this was her first real tour, with just 4 years riding experience...)

Indeed the beST playground there...

The problem is that I'm more focused on riding then taking photos (or even filming...), such distracts too much, you loose time and won't make your intended daily distance...
I have yet not figured out the compromise on this...

Yes the Alps are the best playground. was also there in Aug. 2019 on a Rented V-Strom for two weeks. Visited the Germany Southern Bavaria and a little bit of Austria, Places were I grew up as a teenager.
