There was a company in Quebec doing something similar, you could convert almost any bike.... I think they are gone now.
But the front conversion makes way more sense to me than a rear trike.

For a while RT made a kit for the CTX700. IIRC Rider mag did a product review on the 700 about 5 years ago.

Dad and I have talked many times before about how if he gets too old to hold up a GL1800 anymore (which could happen), a reverse trike conversion for his GL is on the list of possibilities. Dynamically, a reverse trike is far superior to a standard trike.

What's so interesting to me is the utter vitriol that's directed at reverse trikes in general, and Can-Am Spyders specifically. I remember when the Spyder was first introduced, and how no one in the moto journalist press knew what to make of it. It seemed like the whole world was looking at it and thinking "What the heck is it?". I took one look at it and immediately thought, "It's a snowmobile for the street. Cool!" :p

I don't know about anyone else, but my love for motorcycles has nothing to do with leaning into turns. It's everything to do with being exposed and a direct part of my surroundings, rather than being in a car and disconnected from everything. So to me, a reverse trike isn't a "downgrade", it's just another flavor of experience to enjoy! The only thing that keeps me from looking at Spyders more seriously is their reliability rating and that they're such a pain to do even basic service on (Dad has worked on many, and they really are a hassle).

If Honda made an OEM reverse trike GL1800, I'd give it very serious consideration.

I wanted to buy a Spyder. But then I test rode it. It was really hard to keep on a 2 land asphalt road. If you didn't keep the front wheels in the almost imperceptible "rut" it didn't like it. I was afraid it was going to throw me off. The test ride lasted 45 minutes or so, and it did get easier near the end, when I got better of keeping the front wheel in the "rut".

Are all reverse trikes like that?

It’s new to me, never saw one before.

It leans in turns!
This ^. Trikes of any nature don't bother me at all. Nor does the fact that some people like them. Gun to my head I'd choose a Can-Am type trike over a traditional trike. But I'm not Trike Gui. I don't see the attraction but certainly understand that others do.

For me riding is all about the lean. I'm not Ricky Racer and I don't have to hang off the side nor impress a single soul but me. But moving about two planes makes two wheels fun and relaxing and sometimes cathartic. If there's to be no lean than it's a convertible for me. It's Miata time.

That Honda articulated trike could be my old age ride. I've always been in awe of those along with the various enclosed variety. I've seen one Piaggio on the street making a turn in an intersection and it did look pretty cool.

The reality is that even if it was available here (new) I'd probably opt for a more economical two-wheeler.

It's a Honda Concept bike so you'll never see that exact bike... just like the several Valkyrie concepts which resulted in the Rune... bleh.. looked ok but just not as cool as some of the concepts IMO.

I don't care for 3 wheelers because you now have to pay attention to 3 tracks on the road and avoiding something with the front tire may just mean the rear tire will hit it.. that's one reason I liked the single-wheel trailers.

But, if a trike does it for you then that's all that matters... I have a Miata now so when 2 wheels isn't enough that car is a blast to drive... Hopefully, I'll outlive the thought that I need it and will sell it to put more bikes in the garage.... some day.. lol
