I have been very happy with the ST, alittle under 30,000 since 07, so it was with a great deal of trepidation that I drove it up to the Cities to turn it over on a trade for the GT1600 which isnt even here yet. I have only owned one non-Honda since I started riding in 1964, ready for a change but couldent talk myself into the GL. I have no intention of deserting the ST-owners forum however. I kind of follow the BMW sites a bit more often as of late, but nothing I have seen so far comes close to this site for all things motorcycle. I will try and post some comparisons but probably wont have the bike until next riding season.

Toes, yur always welcome here. Do report on the 1600. Doesn't hold any lure for me but always wanna hear about everyone's ride. :D

That is two from ST-O that I know of getting one then. Rich R has one ordered too. I will not ride a 1300 as I don't want to want one. But since there is no way I could afford a 1600,, I would ride one of those in a heartbeat. :D

undoubtedly the 1600 will be the most comfortable and quickest way to cover big miles but the price of it just makes it too uneconomical ?/$ per mile.

Congrats!

I have only 1,500 miles on my K1600GT so far, but get ready to be amazed at how good the K1600GT is.

It is truly without peer. Enjoy!

Here's a pic to tide you over:D

Congrats. Shame about the high membership dues for non-ST owners right Joe (wink wink) ha ha
I think if I changed bikes I'd just badge it as an ST to stay here. Good folks. I've read a bit on it and am interested, especially the electronics controls. That headlight has had mixed reviews. It'd be interesting to see it in work.
