Bought a Grasshopper driver bacrest. Very nice buy feels it pushes to far forward. Has anyone modified the bracket to change the angle. Thick steel to bend, seems possible but do not want to wreck it.

Maybe contact Grasshopper and ask them if they'll bend it for you. Seems though you could fixture it in your garage and bend it yourself, or maybe just bend in place on the bike?

I bought one for my Kawi Vulcan. I removed the staples and the backrest, then heated the steel and bent it in a vise. After I had it right I used my glassbeader and powder coated it, re installed the staples...stainless ones, and all good. The iron is too thick to bent without lots of heat unless you have a big press, but I would still heat it. The bracket on the bike isn't strong enough to hold it IMO and wouldn't try that.

Yep thats what i thought, heat and a vise. Very thick steel eventhough it mild. Great price though.
Thanks
