Grasshopper seat install, I think they sent me the wrong one

Is it mounted correctly? Somehow looks backwards to me (flat face screws to the block supporting the backrest cushion, and thus should be facing the front seat occupant vs the back seater?) Maybe the upper part flips around and the lower part mounts flipped top for bottom? Or that backrest piece is mounted backwards...did you assemble that or was it shipped that way?

Does the way it would flex against the operator help orient it?

Just looks like it's on backwards, I believe this one folds forward to let the passenger on. Looking at the eBay listing it has the fold down feature... folds onto front seat.

That looks like it's time for an email or call to customer service.

Its ebay, already sent an email. I think I can make and adapter plate and weld it to the backrest bracket. I am leaving in 7 days to do an ironbutt and then another 3000 miles.

After using a hammer and some large plyers, I made it work.
