Handlebar risers for st 1300

Due to increasing osteo perosis in my neck it is becoming painful to ride my st 1300 due to having to constantly having to lift my head up to see. I currently Have the MCL risers that are 2 inch higher and I believe 1 1/2 back, the actual measurement isn't important it is simply not enough. What I am looking for is a way to give a cruiser type riding position. I purchased the st 1300 new in 2006 and absolutely love this bike BUT I cannot comfortably ride it without neck pain. I find it is sitting sometimes for a month or more because I will take the Goldwing trike which the riding position is fine no neck problems. Does anyone know of a solution to raise these bars to an upright riding position? I am really reluctant to sell the bike but i see no other option.

I'm not followng this, could you elaborate? I had pain in my shoulder that was relentless. I think I bought the last pair of Heli Horizon bars (ape hangers for the ST) and did what I could to keep the seat low, added GW pegs to lower my feet. It helped completely. Maybe a call to Heli will let them find one on a back shelf... hoping the best for your situation.

To echo Will. The Helibar SST Horizon Axis (or something like that) is the only aftermarket handlebar set I am aware of for the ST1300. It helped me by putting the bars further back and giving a more "standard" seating position.

Unfortunately, they are no longer listed for sale and apparently have been discontinued. They used to be distributed through several retailers, so there is a chance that there is a leftover somewhere. I occasionally see them for sale on eBay, used, if you have the patience to watch for them.

Thanks for the reply. Currently with the MCL risers on my ST I have to tilt my head back from my normal slightly tilted forward posture. This becomes exhausting and the only solution is an upright, possible slight leaning back (think back rest) position.

Thanks for reply. Yes I saw them a few years back but didnt think I needed them at that price. (as I recall about $500.00). Now I can no longer find them anywhere.

I saw a Heli set from an ST1100 mounted on a ST1300 yesterday! The problem is solvable, you may need to be clever to do it though. When I asked how it was done it turned out to be very simple. The 1100 bars are still available from Heli, you need to swap out the mounts from the 11 to the 13, 2 bolts, 2 washers...

I saw a Heli set from an ST1100 mounted on a ST1300 yesterday! The problem is solvable, you may need to be clever to do it though. When I asked how it was done it turned out to be very simple. It's my understanding that the 1300 upper triple clamp has a pair of holes just like the 1100 that are hiding beneath the the handlebar mounting blocks.
