Headlight lens protector. Anyone use one?

Thanks guys. I'd never heard of that scotch lock or dual lock stuff till now. Now that I know what it is I found some through Home Depot and just for peace of mind I'm going to add a few tabs to the existing ones. Appreciate you guys!

Really NOT necessary . . . but whatever floats your boat.

Had one on my 1100rt and 1150rt for a total of about 10 years. Never came loose and saved me on a couple of occasions. I highly recommend them.

25+ years with a Ventura headlight protector on my ST1100. Mount it so the shield covers the bottom edge of the glass, not centered as a rock will strike there instead of the top.

No need for other/additional/different velcro-type fasteners.

When I replaced my headlight module with the Euro version, I emailed Ventura and they sent me a new set of the fasteners for free. Good folks there.

The last item of 7 on the list - VP034 - Light guard. You don't see that?
I do now. I must of just glazed over it. Thanks.

For $30 (+shipping) the B-Q looks to be a winner and I could get yellow for daytime use (not legal anywhere here I imagine) and clear for night (and when I got tired of getting stopped/cited for the yellow cover :rofl1: ) but it doesn't appear to be in stock as I can't add it to the cart. There's always email.

Interesting that the yellow cover is legal on UK public highways. Night use too or daylight only?

I ran a Ventura for quite some time on my 1100. It got cracked from a stone, saving my headlight. The little Velcro dots never failed through heat or rain or triple digit wind. I ended up tossing it when after warming my bike up one winter, the headlight started to melt the cover. Can't remember if I was running OEM or Silverstars... Went with a Cee Bailey's protector, which is probably twice as thick. Too bad Cee Bailey's doesn't do motorcycle stuff anymore, other than decent cleaner and Rain-B-Gon Max.
