Hey a 2013 CB 1100! Cool. I had one, put 8500 miles on it, traded it in on a 2014 deluxe and have 80,000 miles on it!

@Ferret: the CB1100 is under-appreciated in my view. It is such sweet motorcycle!

A bit off-topic, but could you share which kind of maintenance you had to do in the 80K Miles you logged on it? (i.e. aside oil + tire changes)?

:rofl1: I would have to buy another house. Have you seen the real-estate prices in Colorado now? As bad or worse than California. Not to mention the wife has no desire to move. Can't build on as the town home HOA won't allow it , plus no room. AnD just a small item left, this place is free and clear.

Yea great motorcycle imo

Nothing but normal maintenance ... oil & filter every 4K, air cleaner and spark plugs every 25,000 miles, tires and chains, couple batteries, couple sets of brake pads. Valve cover has never been off.
 
Presently, I have five. But I'm only riding one - the NX500. Yesterday, I finished a six day, 1700-mile ride on it. The CRF450L was totaled in January when I got hit. I'll probably part it out, but I haven't received the insurance check yet. The CRF230L is my daughter's bike, but I'm the owner. I told her that she could take it home, but she said, "Nah, I only ride with you Dad." The one in back is my old race bike, a 2002 Honda CR250. I just can't bring myself to sell it, even though it's worth way more than what I paid for it. Hidden in the middle is a '73 Yamaha AT-3 125. It quit running several years ago. I kept it for a retirement project. I've been retired for over two years now, and I still haven't touched it.

I rotate the rides. Last Thursday I was out with the Versys. On labor day I rode the Honda NT11, today I rode down by the river with the V-Strom (had a little bit of dirt road to do) and the next time I get a chance to GO RIDE it will be the FJR's turn. Then repeat. Every once in a while the choice will be the one with the most gas in it. :biggrin: And then I need to give the MX-5 some attention also. But as a full time caregiver to the wife, time is tight.
 
I had 6 at one time. It was too many for ME. I'm down to 3 now and the highest mileage one, the CB 1100 @ 80,500 miles, is now used only on Sundays. Trying not to wear it out. The lowest mileage one the 23 NC 750 DCT now with 5,700 miles is used mainly on Thursdays for our Men's Group ride and lunch. The other 5 days I ride the red 21 NC 750 DCT which has 74,500 miles on it. That's the one I'm trying to put most of the wear and tear on. Will see how long it lasts. When it dies the 23 NC will move up to be the main ride. At 76, these Hondas may outlast me though :rofl1:
