Hi there. My name is Juan, and I’m from Málaga, Spain. I’ve owned all kinds of motorcycles—adventure/dual-sport, cruisers, and sportbikes—and now I’m the proud owner of an "old girl": a 1991 ST1100. I want to install handlebar risers, but I’m wondering if I’ll need to reroute the cables. The risers are 3 cm tall.

Welcome aboard. I think you should be ok, I believe you can go to 2" - about 5 cm - before the cables and hoses get too tight. Other guys will put their 2¢ in soon. On my 1300, IIRC, I simply had to pull hoses and cables out of the factory wire guides.
