GPS's can glitch real easy. They get one bit of sat data wrong like a +90 east location instead of the -90 west real location and you just went around the world in .0001 seconds. My old GPS had a top speed of 1,100 mphs per hour when that happened once. Of course I never reset it after that good bit of speed. And that mileage total is the result of bad sat data bits too. It probably had 200,000 miles on it as I had it in the car on the bike and when we flew places for a few years.
Can't trust the data but it is something that a 20 year old GPS still works. Mine don't last that long.
