Hole in oil pan.

Add a pic of the damage, the oil pan is more a plate, if in fact you have a hole in the actual oil pan it would not require engine removal. If the hole is above the oil plate/ pan you have bigger problems. Update the thread with pictures

No, my Honda dealer removed the oil pan to inspect the crank shaft while they were screwing me...er while they were trying to fix my 1300.

I ran over something and now have a large hole in my oil pan. 2006 St1300. To replace the oil pan, will engine removal be required?
I have replaced 2 oil pans on St1300s. Pretty simple operation. Engine removal NOT needed. There was no damage above the oil pan. Use Honda bond and apply sparingly but completely to get a good seal.

They allegedly removed your pan. Probably charged you for doing it, but I would want to see it done in person or be provided with pictures.
I’ve had too many shops hand me worn out parts off a completely different brand of bike claiming it was damage they found on my bike.

Like crusty pointed out, pretty straight forward to R&R, however, the damage to watch for is more than any holes/cracks/damage on the pan, but rather all the holes that go into the engine.
A whack that hard can cause cracks and egg shaped holes, so inspect it carefully.
Don’t rely on some kid in a shop who will just use a whole tube of sealant then over torque things.
Hope it works out well for you.

If it were my bike, I would take the opportunity for a good inspection, a good cleaning, cleaning the oil strainer on the oil pump along with replacing o-rings, gaskets, copper gaskets, etc. as needed. Good luck :thumb:
