how wide is the st1300

thumpergman

gday guys can i just ask someone to use a tape measure and tell me
the width of the st1300 please
at the widest point
much appreciated

Too wide to fit through a motel room door even with bags and mirrors removed! :(

I run mine into the basement every winter through a doorway 33 in. wide. I remove the mirror housings, mirrors, bar end weights, plastic bumper covers (just in case), and of course the hard bags. Has a little extra clearance.

Won't be doing this with a Wing.

But did you still respect it in the morning ?

The ST1100 will fit through a standard door. I'm eyeing a spot in the living room for the winter........

Downside: all my doors have steps. The back door only has 2, so it's do-able. Then through the family room, through the double doors into the kitchen, then into the living room. Hang a hard left, and park it on a 4x8 piece of plywood. My GF will have a cow. But the shed is full of bikes already....

Yeah, I'd still respect it

I hate to ask but you are kidding right?

Re: how wide is the st1300 ** WARNING!!! Please read!!

I arose one winter morning and as I exited my upstairs bedroom I smelled GASOLINE! My bike was parked in the dining room and had sprung a gas leak. As I started down the stairs I could see a shimmering pool of gas surrouding the bike. Nearby was a stove with pilot lights and around the corner was the water heater. The WH was in the garage but the garage was converted into a room and there was no door.
With or without a standing pilot, that water heater main burner could have lit and the house furnace was downstairs too.
I really liked my bike but EVERYTHING I loved was sleeping upstairs that morning and I foolishly risked it all.

Please don't make the same mistake.

So happy the ST1300 can fit through a standard door. Rear tip-over bars can clear with a significant tilt and angle if a door is removed :D

The widest point with bag/mirrors/bar covers removed would be the front bars if someone would measure that.
